The Tavern Pub = AMAZING extensive, but not too much so, seasonal menu and OH SO TASTY. Mussels, Fries, Garlic Bread and Glass of Wine - €23.00 what NOT to love about that. Lovely scenery that showcases the reasons why Irish people are so proud to be Irish, Croagh Patrick , literally at the back door and if you're in need of a HIKE (its not easy, but it IS memorable) then this alone is one reason to visit Murrisk.... careful on the way down, it can be slippy on the shale.. Watching the sunset over Clew bay is perhaps one of the most beautiful places in Ireland to be. Drivers on irish roads are not the best, but being mindfiul of this, you can walk safely on the roads and take full advantage of all this little area has to offer. One good bar-restaurant, The Tavern, excellent seafood, other pub is not so nice but has a big beer garden. Coffee horse box in Croaghpatrick car park and a community cafe, nearest shop 3km. The sea is about 1 Km walk away, a fishing pier. Bartra beach 3.5km drive, worth the effort, great dunes and scenery and wild swimming. At breakfast, she offered for us to take bread and cheese with us for lunch. She wanted to make sure that we were comfortable in our room and had everything we needed.
