The location was good for us as the bus to Galway is a short walk. Driving up the building is very impressive with good parking. The inside is in need of repair and restoration. My husband said it was old and sad which is correct.
Maldron Hotel Galway is a 18-minute drive from Galway City, and ideally located close to motorways to reach all corners of Ireland.

Really good hotel for families, we went with our 13 month old. We we enjoyed the children's playroom and the swimming pool. There was a shallow baby pool and a little bubble pool our baby loved. The breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food. We had lots to choose from to let our baby try different breakfast foods. Short drive to Oranmore centre with restaurants and bars. Only 20 minutes drive to Galway centre. Good location is travelling around Galway in your car.
In the heart of Oranmore village, with easy access to Galway city, the hotel offers 16 tastefully decorated rooms with attached bathroom, a beautiful bar and the award-winning Basilico Restaurant.

Our room was the biggest of the 4 hotels we stayed in Ireland. Also the biggest bathroom. Our room has AC and even though it only went to 19° it was the only hotel that had it. Free parking. Close to main area of Galway.
Flannery’s Hotel features spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi, The Galwegian Restaurant and Frankie’s Bar & Bistro. There is free parking on site, and central Galway is 2.2 mi away.

Very busy hotel in a good location to the centre of Galway. The staff were very helpful, and the food was good.
Right within the center of Galway, the Eyre Square Hotel provides brightly furnished rooms with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Galway Cathedral is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Michael and Ann were wonderful hosts.
Michael and Ann were wonderful hosts. His guidance on a sunny day in May afforded us the opportunity to see some wonderful sights in Connemara that otherwise we would not have seen. Ann’s scones at breakfast were an added plus. Being just south of Galway, it was well positioned for us to visit the Cliffs of Moher, some Celtic crosses, Doolin, and the Burren.

Quite a grand hotel, which has a restaurant and a good leisure centre with helpful staff.
The suite I stayed in had a king size bed, bedside lamps, small sofa and chair and a circular table. It had air-con but I did not use it - the window had louvre shutters and would open, which I preferred to do, rather than use the air-con.
There was no view, as there was a screen of artificial ivy arranged outside, in front of the window, but it was quite pleasant.
The decor was of a good standard and of a subdued beige, brown and sage green - calming but evocative of the 70s. It could use some bright scatter cushions to bring it up to date.
I only breakfasted once but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a wide range of possibilities, through the traditional Irish to continental options. It is also possible to buy a ground coffee, rather than the usual hotel instant, at an additional cost of €2.60.
There are tables outside the front of the building which make a welcoming area to meet for coffee or drinks in the pleasant green surroundings of mature trees, shrubs and garden.
It is a short walk to the nearest precinct ('Joyce's) which has supermarkets, clothing retailers, a newsagent a bakery and a Costa Coffee - a good option for an alternative breakfast.
The bus stop for the Cliffs of Moher is just outside Joyce's, on the same side. Just across the road is a garden containing the spring/well which gives Oranmore its name ('More = well). Beside it is the bus stop to Galway city - buses run at about 20- minute intervals.

Very nice town with easy access to Galway city and surrounding areas. We took the local bus into Galway city which was great as we did not have to worry about parking. Buses run to schedule. Spent some time in Oranmore village which was lovely.

Oranmore has plenty to see and do, and is withing driving distance of other tourist attractions such as the Burren, Doolin, Galway City and many others.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants, so choice is plentiful.
Unfortunately the hotel we stayed in were devoid of any human compassion when I contracted covid and due to that experience, I would not stay there again, however much it was value for money. There is no monetary price on basic human kindness, otherwise known in the industry as hospitality.

Accomodation was very cozy, breakfast superb, the pancakes were delicious. Ann and Michael are top notch hosts, very friendly and heart-warming people. Totally recommend this location and, if we are ever coming back to the Galway area, Oranhill Lodge Gueshouse would be the go-to choice
Rate was very good compared to Galway city centre
Lots of free carparking, use of the sauna/pool etc which is a shirt walk across the car park.
Great breakfast.
