The hotel location and the decor in the main areas is fabulous. All of the staff were young but professional, courteous and helpful on all interactions. We stayed here less than two years ago and I found the paint work, carpets on route to the hotel rooms looked worn and needed a facelift, also in the bedroom whilst the beds and seating were great quality the paint work and cupboard ( one damaged ) were not up to standard. I feel when you’re paying for a luxury hotel, this type of detail needs to be on point. Bar food and breakfast were fabulous cannot fault this.

This is the third time I stayed in this hotel and have never found a single thing to fault. Above all else the staff are the best I have ever encountered. They are genuinely friendly and extremely helpful each one going out of their way to make my stay was perfect. The restaurant is excellent for dinner and the breakfast has a great selection of good food. The location is fantastic just beside the airport with a free shuttle bus to the hotel.

The hotel Is clearly understaffed. There was no one on reception for long periods of time. Tables in the restaurant were left uncleared. We were left waiting for housekeeping for a long time when a bed was missing from our room.
Welcome to the 4-star Radisson Blu Hotel Dublin Airport, conveniently situated within the Dublin Airport Complex and just a short stroll from the airport terminal buildings.

I stayed here just for one night as had to catch an early morning flight. Beautifully clean hotel with the benefit of free airport shuttle bus which was very convenient. Friendly staff, comfy bed and nice sized room.
Would definitely stay here again

Portmarnock and this hotel in particular are too often overlooked by visitors and Irish people alike. Sitting right on a beautiful expanse of soft sandy beach, on a DART line and a 14 minute drive from Dublin airport, this location is ideal

Great place to stop, both to relax, but also visit the city.
Great place to stop, both to relax, but also visit the city. Although a few miles from Dublin centre, very regular buses take you from right outside the hotel to Dublin centre. The cost, just over 2 (two) euros. Alternatively, the beach is more or less, just across the road from the hotel. The next small pretty town Malahide can be accessed either by foot, bus or road.

Portmarnock itself beautiful.
Portmarnock itself beautiful. Safe beach, great walk between Portmarnock and Malahide and great golf. Can recommend Lali’s local restaurant, Jameson’s bar at the Portmarnock hotel and Malahide for bars, restaurants and retail therapy

Lovely walks along the coast, neighbouring Malahide is about a 40 minute walk where there are many great bars and restaurants. Great golf courses in Portmarnock, restaurant & bar options are limited.

We stayed here to be close to the airport because we had an early AM departure. It was an easy 15 min drive to DUB via back roads. The hotel was fabulous, the ocean views were spectacular and the room was very clean.

Fantastic location on a beautiful wide beach with wonderful walking possibilities eg 45 minutes to Malahide on coastal promenade, also great walks from Howth on headland in opposite direction, choice of 6k, 7k and 11k walks. Howth itself is a pretty fishing village with lots of fresh fish for sale and restaurants around the harbour area. Malahide Castle also a short drive with its lovely grounds and Avoca restaurant. Also a great value hotel with lots of quality and service for the money. Reception staff really helpful and breakfast super. Golf course is beautiful, quite expensive but deals available on the hotel’s website. I think the hotel would be more expensive if it had a pool and maybe tennis courts. But the beach on your doorstep makes up if the weather is good. Highly recommend, 9.5 out of 10

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Portmarnock
I can see the hotel is a bit old, but I can also see they have done some refurbishment as well, the toilet has floor heating which is very nice, stuff are very friendly, the bar/restaurant is nice and cosy, not too busy but with people enjoying sports and good drink, in all worth the money that I paid for
Really enjoyed our stay!! All the staff were so friendly and helpful....leaning to a lovely atmosphere in the hotel and lounge/ food areas.
Rooms were spacious and comfortable
Having that beautiful beach on the doorstep is a definate plus.
Price was great too!!
