Situated on the verge of Roscommon Town, this family-run hotel offers spacious, quality accommodation, free high-speed Wi-Fi and first class food.

The room was big, basic, clean. While it was not super modern it was fine for me. Shower nice and warm. My bed comfortable. Breakfast adequate. Food in bar was decent with creamy Guinness on tap. Staff friendly.

Boasting a restaurant, Jacksons Restaurant and Guesthouse is located in the town centre of Roscommon. There is free WiFi access available and free on-site parking.

The room was newly decorated. It had a lovely soft carpet. The furniture, the bed, desk, drawers were very tastefully presented. The bathroom was clean with ample towels supplied. The shower was new and powerful, although a little snog. The management and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably priced. The location was perfect. The only fault was the music from the street that could be heard from my room. I did not hear the music after midnight.

Offering inner courtyard views, The Castle Walk is an accommodation set in Roscommon, 11 km from Claypipe Visitors Centre and 20 km from Clonalis House.

Lovely little property, well located within walking distance to town centre. Nice and clean and private, though felt if we needed to call on our hosts at anytime there wouldn't be an issue. A handy little book on the table told us how to operate the air-conditioning, coffee machine etc and all important wifi code, plus the extra of recommending restaurant/ pub grub in the high street, which we followed and yes.....they were right.... would definitely go again if in Roscommon.

We have family in Roscommon so we’ve been there a few time, it’s a lovely little town with such friendly people. Everything you would need is all within walking distance it’s a great place to go for a short break, we stayed at the Abbey hotel so there was no need to use the car to go into town. We can’t wait to go back next year.

Roscommon has more to show then what meets the eye, I particularly enjoyed my brief visit to the castle. On my return I intend to make use of the professional staff. Wonderful little eateries in the town with tasty fare at very reasonable prices. More should be made of the beautiful church buildings.

The lady in the small museum was very helpful and full of information/suggestions to help me with my enquires. The Catholic Church is a lovely building with beautiful windows. Walking around the castle ruin and reading the information on that was also interesting.

Drove hours to come here because this is where family is from (4 generations ago). I now know why they left. It was not great. Not worth coming to. Some cool old ruins but a lot of other places id prefer to go.

Roscommon is a lively town with great bars and restaurants mixed with historical interest and lovely, scenic walks plus near the River Shannon. Plenty of shops, all close by with a large shopping centre. Would recommend all to visit. The Coachman's Inn is a fabulous place to stay with great rooms and a big welcome.
