We have family in Roscommon so we’ve been there a few time, it’s a lovely little town with such friendly people. Everything you would need is all within walking distance it’s a great place to go for a short break, we stayed at the Abbey hotel so there was no need to use the car to go into town. Roscommon has more to show then what meets the eye,
Roscommon has more to show then what meets the eye, I particularly enjoyed my brief visit to the castle. On my return I intend to make use of the professional staff. The lady in the small museum was very helpful and full of information/suggestions to help me with my enquires. The Catholic Church is a lovely building with beautiful windows. Roscommon is a lively town with great bars and restaurants mixed with historical interest and lovely, scenic walks plus near the River Shannon. Plenty of shops, all close by with a large shopping centre. Would recommend all to visit.
