The Studio apartment near Shannon Airport is a fantastic spot to use as a homebase while exploring the westside of Ireland. Judith was very accommodating and helpful with any questions that I had during my stay. It is a short walk to some shopping and restaurants. With that said, I would recommend having your own transportation; however, I am not sure that its entirely necessary.

It was difficult to find. When I emailed asked to be on the first floor, they said no problem. When we arrived, all rooms were on the 2nd floor. The host was very rude and condescending. We were only there for nine and a half hours, as we had to be at the airport by 5am. They didn't have to provide our breakfast, and we were told to put the key through the mail hole. I would NOT recommend this stay.

Cosy Room is located in Shannon, just 8.4 miles from Dromoland Castle and 12 miles from Thomond Park.

The check-in process was easy, car park had a lot of free spaces, the bed was comfortable, the price was good and the place was clean.

Just 4 miles from Shannon Airport, Bunratty Manor is a small family-run hotel, just a 5 minute walk from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The Manor Restaurant serves local game and seafood.

Breakfast was a bit pricey, but was cooked to order. The hotel was very family friendly and the location was convenient.

With free Wi-Fi throughout and private parking on site, this guest house has a peaceful reading room and a breakfast room overlooking Bunratty village. Shannon Airport is only 10 minutes’ drive away.
