The house was very comfortable. Maura the host was there to greet us on arrival and very welcoming. There was 5 of us and lots of room to relax. Location close to Tinahely and O'Connors pub there served great bar food. We only stayed for one night but thoroughly enjoyed it.

We arrived late as we were caught up with rally details. When we arrived the heating and lighting were on and the accomodation was cosy and comfortable. The lady came to introduce herself and was very welcoming and said if there was anything we needed just knock on her door.
We had milk in the fridge and lovely cookies to have with the tea / coffee. The accomodation was wonderful, lovely decor and spotlessly clean. Only downside was we were only there for one night.
Definetly will stay here again and thankyou to our host for the most wonderful stay your property is amazing and so are your hosting skills

A great welcome from our host. Incredible views through the trees from the front door. Self- contained neat kitchen with everything you could wish for and fridge /freezer. It all made for a very happy stay.

Annette was kind enough to provide us with some breakfast items in the fridge. The cottage is lovely and very bright and warm. We initially booked for just one night, but then decided, once we got there, that we'd like to stay for a second night because we liked the location and the cottage so much. We would definitely visit again in the summer.
Central House, a property with a bar, is situated in Shillelagh, 23 km from Altamont Gardens, 31 km from Carlow College, as well as 31 km from Carlow Town Hall.

Self catering from bread yogurts cereals selection of coffee soups biscuits bottles of cold water juices cheese ham to much to mention has foot massage you can use in the kitchen also kitchen is done like an open plan kitchen/sittingroom so your not bound to your room
I didn't know it was over a pub when booking so I found it loud also others guests don't take into consideration of other guests after 10:00pm talking loudly walking by instead of whispering and stomping on the ground walking and banging their doors shut from last night even this morning
Owners should put up notice like other locations we've stayed in. Please take into consideration of other guests be quiet after 10pm
The other guests were louder than the pub downstairs

The Bar / Dining area needs to be upgraded it’s gone dated , but the hotel and bedroom was very nice . Reception was excellent and a friendly staff member checked us in.

Lovely little village, great location and also locals very friendly! Lovely shops and eatries close to loads of areas, we ate in silvos takeaway, amazing food and lovely staff would recommend. We stayed in madelines accomodation another hidden gem

This is our second visit to Murphy’s .
This is our second visit to Murphy’s . Stacey greeted us warmly and got us checked in swiftly , she is very efficient and a really nice person. Room was room 8 very comfortable and very clean . We ate in the bar and the food was lovely. Breakfast is gorgeous plenty of options and plenty of it .

Cute town, murphys apartment accomodations are not in the building as the bar and restaurant..across the street/triangle in town..only stayed one night as well. The takeaway below our apartment was good:)
