    We were extremely disappointed with the condition of Alibaug...

    We were extremely disappointed with the condition of Alibaug Beach. The beach was very dirty, and the water was a murky black color. This made it impossible to enjoy swimming or even simply relaxing on the sand. My child was especially upset by the poor condition of the beach.

    Nice place to spend 2 days, visit beaches and long forgotten...

    Nice place to spend 2 days, visit beaches and long forgotten forts of Maharashtra. We visited Kulaba Fort which was some distance from the sea and to be reached by boat. Awesome view of the sea. Also Nagaon beach which was clean and unpopulated.

    One should avoid going to Alibaug beach.

    One should avoid going to Alibaug beach. It is crowded and dirty. Please visit Akshi beach, Revdandada beach and Nagaon beach as they are cleaner and not too many people venture there. You enjoy more privacy

    Dirty beaches, except for a couple like Kashid. Roads are very narrow and in very bad condition No options for Veg. food Local or state authorities have not provided any attention to improving tourism. Many hotels and resorts are located in dirty surroundings and roads are broken

    Alibaug is just 3 hours drive (100 km) from Thane and it ideal for those who love sea, beaches and peaceful leisure hours - a break from daily routine. Beach is clean and there are plenty of options to stay form budget to luxury hotels. You will get mouth watering local food and ideal for fish/sea food lovers.
