Chettinad Manor offers accommodation in Chettinadu. This 4-star hotel offers dry cleaning services and a tour desk.

We had a great time at Chettinad manor. Wonderful stay with homely breakfast —fluffy idlis, delicious sambar, paniyarams and coffee. The manager, Nagarajan, went above and beyond—he put together a personalised itinerary and even wrote it down on a paper for us. Additonally, compared to other heritage properties around Chettinad, this is a great budget option.

Saratha Vilas Chettinad has free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and terrace in Kānādukāttān.

The managers, two French men, have compiled a great amount of information about the Chettinad area and provided it to each guest in the form of binders. They are instrumental in applying to make Chettinad a UNESCO World Heritage site. With the right backing from the Indian government and Tamil Nadu State this can succeed, and make the area of Chettinad into a true cultural heritage instead of letting it decay into yet another nondescript area of the country. Their commitment to the heritage of India is truly remarkable and commendable. The place was expensive. They make up for it by giving huge rooms and including meals. Comparable properties charge lesser for the room, and make up for it with expensive meals. Also, the room they gave us came with its own area in front, making me think about how nice it could have been to while away a few lazy days there.

Chettinadu Mansion – An Authentic Heritage Palace in Kānādukāttān provides accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge.

Such a quaint, beautiful village. Amazingly quiet. Clean, well maintained property. Excellent food, very courteous and responsive staff. We had a lovely holiday. The property is ideally located for access to a lot of tourist places/temples. Visit to Mahalakshmi handloom store in the same village is a must.

Between Tanjore and Madurai, Chettinadu is an ideal stop for those like us who do not like to spend so much time on the road. Beautiful palaces and temples to discover. Most of the time, hotels proposed very interesting activities and visits.
