We both had a fantastic stay at Dwarka. The beach huts you stay in are beautiful, with your own balcony to enjoy the views of the sea. The food was out of this world! It was absolutely delicious, two options to choose from - meat or veggie - so everyone is catered for. Cannot recommend the food enough here.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, always happy to help where they could.
The location is very secluded - please be aware that there are a lot of steps to reach the hotel and back up again so just be aware if you struggle with accessibility.
You can easily rent a scooter to enable you to visit other places if you want (we did this, safe parking for your scooter on the hill above the hotel), or if you want pure relaxation you don't have to go anywhere!
The beach is clean and safe - you can't enter the sea directly opposite the hotel due to the rocks BUT a very short walk to the opposite end of the beach you can find a quiet part of the beach where you can safely enter the sea.
We used the hotels own kayak to explore the lagoon directly next door to the hotel - it's only a short kayak but early in the morning before it gets busy it's worth doing.
There are stray dogs who wonder the beach but I cannot stress enough how they leave you alone - they don't scrounge and they are not aggressive. They're genuinely nothing to worry about and to be honest are a regular sight throughout india!
We had a wonderful week here, and we couldn't recommend Dwarka enough!

Location is unbeatable. The staff, particularly in the bar and housekeeping did an excellent job.
Would have liked surface space in bathroom for toiletries.
Very expensive. It has five star prices but lodges, although I’ve and functional are not luxurious.

Booked for 2 nights dorm. Arrived there and left after seeing the place. Under the marketing concept of sustenability and ecological place is like somebodies yard with undergoing constructions and/or repairs. Be prepared for a very basic staying . Taxing a ricksha from there to Agonda is a rip off...500 inr for 5 km...when I payed 2000 from Dambolin airport to Palolem.
So enjoy staying if you think fit's for you.
The staff are helpful and polite
The food is good and reasonably priced
The room had a fabulous view
Take a large padlock to lock wardrobe if you want to leave valuables in the room
Cleaners were amazing

Blue Lagoon resort is a jewel, but it is for those who want peace and basics, and to get away, rather than another sanitized beach experience with all mod cons. The cabins, certainly those on the sea front, are spacious and well equipped, with fans and a large bed and deck, and also a large bathroom with hot water. The restaurant is excellent, and all staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Some reviews seem to be from people who arrived with unrealistic expectations, or who just like to complain. Yes, the access road is challenging, but dozens of 2- and 4-wheel vehicles (non-4x4) do it every day. Yes, swimming directly in front of the restaurant is also challenging, if one is not a confident swimmer, but there are calm waters just 50m along the beach. Yes, there are sometimes spiders, geckos and ants, but this has nothing to do with hygiene; it is because the accommodation is beach huts in a remote rural location. If you wanted modern conveniences and sterile conditions, you chose the wrong holiday. Yes, phone service is poor (same reason as above) but actually a blessing. Wifi coverage was perfectly adequate. Some people actually complain about not having TV in the rooms...really???? In summary, Blue Lagoon is a fantastic place that should be cherished. The moment it starts being the sort of place that some reviewers seem to want will be when I stop visiting.

Cola area is a panchayat and very small town , but its very peaceful as I understand most of the resorts are situated in this area.
People are friendly and helpful . If you dont consider spending for up and down travel on bumpy roads , Cola is enjoyable.

The beach view is great and is a must if you want to escape from the normal hustle of north goa. It gives a relaxing and soothing experience. The backwater near the beach is an added advantage for families who are traveling with kids and wants to enjoy water activities with safety. The picturesque location of the beach makes it an exotic location. However, the resort fails to build on that. The rooms dont encourage you to sit and enjoy the property. The lighting in the room is quite dull. Although you can order anything from the nearby restaurant, but it is always great to have few essential stuff in the room while on arrival. No water bottles, electric kettle, toiletries.... were all missing considering the INR 7000 room. Will not recommend anyone with family to stay here. Good for honeymoon couples and the people travelling with friends
