Everything from the host, place, vibe, food to surroundings was on point. The host, Vasavi cooked food for us and it was extremely delicious. The place is very clean and well ventilated. This place is perfect for a weekend getaway or for professionals who like to work in nature. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to take a break from hustle and bustle of city and find peace in nature's lap. of course, the yummy food is like a cherry on top!

The Rough Guide discourages staying in Hassan too the point of not even listing accommodation in favour of Belur. I followed Alex Reynolds' (lostwithpurpose.com ) budget recommendation which is 10 minutes from the Bus Stand and 2 minutes from the 5th Floor rooftop 'Beer Garden Restro' and 1 minute from a good 'english wine shop'

I was only passing through Hasan so did not expect much. Walking around to find a cash machine I could not see much of interest here. I wandered through the small park; which was under major landscaping work. there was construction in many roads so the streets were dusty

I wanted to visit the historical places in and around Hassan which I did. Being a solo traveller would have liked to go in a group but tourists are few. Recommend the following places as Belur, Halperin, Shravanabelagola Gomateshwara statue, Lakshmi temple at Doddagaddavalli, Shettihalli floating church, Gorur dam on Hemavathi river & hidden gem, Mosale should not be missed

There are a lot of beautiful temples around Hassan. Shravanabelagola, Belur, and Halebidu are some of the places one must visit. Sri Veeranarayana Swamy Temple is a must-visit when visiting Halebidu. Shantaleshwara temple complex is simply breathtaking.

The accommodation was fantastic right in the middle of a coffee plantation and far from both noise and air pollution. The hostess Vasavi was very kind and nothing was too much for her. She made sure we were well fed and watered and even made non spicy food for my children who are picky eaters. It’s these small details that stand out. Food is local varieties which I doubt you will get in a ‘star ‘ hotel. Please do try home made passion fruit and fig wine. Thank you Vasavi for your generosity.
Hotel is located centrally. Its a nice place with good food and excellent service.
Rooms are spacious and decently maintained.
All the staff are very helpful and serve with a smile.
Food at the Parijatha restaurant is tasty and well made.
