The location of this place is good as well as challenging. While it is located at a height that gives you an excellent view and calm, the roads leading to this place are in bad shape...it is about 8 km (half hour) uphill from Sainj Valley. However, once you reach, the location is excellent and calm and peaceful. The food served here is freshly prepared and it tastes very good. Mr. Gopal can cook a few Indian dishes very well and we enjoyed his cooking. The property has three units and each unit has a ground floor room (with a bathroom and balcony) and an attic upstairs with just a bed in the attic. It is just about enough for 4 people on a short stay; very comfortable and cozy. The host and owner Mr. Satish is a friendly and simple person. He advised us on nearby places to visit such as hikes, waterfalls, lakes etc.

Everything about Tirthan Grand was exceptional. Loved the location, stay , food and hospitality. Food is finger licking good. Especially the rara chicken and aloo paratha. Kunal ji has been a great host and was so helpful in guiding us about the places to visit and organised everything for us at a beck and call. The rooms were clean and the view from the room was breathtaking. The staff so courteous and the care that we received was like a family. We were never allowed to leave the property without breakfast even they packed the breakfast for us when we had to leave early. Very pleased and impressed. Must visit.

The Missing Peace is a cute little place in the village, where you get the views of the adjoining fields, pine forest and the snow capped mountains. Host Ridhi was the most proactive host I've ever met, with her checking on my entire travel plans right from booking till the time we left the place. All in all, great place, great people and most importantly beautiful Shangarh! :)

Hospitality is amazing. We never experienced such warm welcome and simple home cook food under lush pine and cedar trees.
