Rohit and Shilpi were extremely nice and helped us during our stay. The food was also nice. My only issue was the wifi network in the rooms and bed mattress being too stiff. The TV also barely worked. Everything else was fine.

Staff behaviour was very rude. No electric kettle . Bed was overused and long before it should have been discarded. Absolutely no cushion. Water closet was not flushing properly. No glass for ventilators in the bathroom. Above all , morning 6 AM we couldn't go out for a coffee. All doors were locked and no one at the reception to open the door. The lady who was incharge of the homestay shouted at us for asking to open the lock, as they will open at their will. it was like a detention centre. If there was an emergency like fire , earthquake (day before yesterday there was really an earthquake in Myanmar) , how to escape? . This homestay is not all worth . It's not at all worth for even Rs 500/- . Please avoid this at any cost. Finally the incharge lady refused to issue a receipt for our payment. Showed all her arrogance, just for asking a GST bill for which I have paid. And this is despite my upcoming stay at the same homestay after 4 days after returning from Cherapunji. My god. The incharge lady didn't treat the guest with dignity.

    It is easy to reach Shillong from Guwahati.

    It is easy to reach Shillong from Guwahati. The place is nice. The people are good. Food could be an issue for veg folks. HOwever, there are some restaurants that serve veg dishes but they are less as compared to northern India so that can be a problem. SO, plan accordingly. Otherwise, everything about Meghalaya is nice.

    Beautiful city to stay for holidays.

    Beautiful city to stay for holidays. Airforce museum required more time to explore which was not possible. Cathedral church and all society church could not be visited due to shortage of time. One more day was required to explore completely.

    Great place to chill. Nice places to eat and relax. The villages nearby are also pretty chill but almost every place needs an entry ticket, or a parking token of some kind. This could get hefty if you are in a group. Also, people should be physically prepared to hike/walk quite a bit.

    Traffic can be horrendous so if you want to get around places having someone who knows the ins and outs with all the shortcuts in between is a must, or to not be afraid to try the rapidO scooter service as scooters get places fast in traffic.

Prior to your trip to Shillong, it is essential to ensure that you have made sufficient hotel arrangements. There are several high-quality resorts accessible. Furthermore, it is crucial to avoid engaging in disputes with the local residents in this area, as it might pose significant challenges for visitors.

    We had 3 nights in shillong. Enjoy the best nature's green cover. Much more than splendid and truly memorable. The living root bridge and caves are a must visit. Kudos for the administration to give great importance to cleanliness.

    Excellent manager , always responsive on hands. The staff speak good English are very polite and the premises are spotless and with great decoration. Very good mattresses, one of the few QUIET hotels we have been at in India. On site restaurant was convenient. Excellent amenities. Overall good value for money. We asked for a driver to take us around meghalaya and the guy they found us spoke good English, knows his job, is reliable and was even very affordable. Another excellent choice by the hotel, thanks to driver Alex.

    The room was nice and spacious. The bungalow itself is large and feels comfortable with it's wooden interior. It's located slightly on the edge of the city which we enjoyed, since Shillong itself gets quite hectic. Ashang and his staff took great care of us with making breakfast and dinner for us. The food was simple, homely and very nice. We had 4 good nights here. We were also allowed to wash our clothes there. We used the place as a starting point for 2 day trips to the beautiful sights in Meghalaya.
