the best accomodation we stayed on Iceland: everything was modern, new and very clean. the kitchen was professional: equipped as in the restaurant, also the dining room was super large. farm is really in the great location - just close to the lake between Myvatn and Husavik. We stayed there and in the morning booked whale watching- great option.
Host was very friendly - I called her to ask how to setup heating and she picked up immediately and explained everything. And the hot tube was just amazing! Thank you!

The whole place. The cottage is very spacious.
The kitchen is well equipped and there is a real bathroom with a shower cabin.
They have two lovely dogs who are so playful and friendly. My son played with them for most of our time at the cottage. However, the owners have left a note that if the dogs bother they will lock them up.
We had a snowstorm and when we woke up in the morning there was a good pile of snow behind our car. By the time we had finished our breakfast, the owners had cleared the path so that we could easly drive around.

This is our second time staying here and we must say we really love this place. The rooms are big, clean and comfy. The wonderful people that own and take care of the hotel are really nice, friendly and accomodating. The breakfast is one of the best ( possibly THE best ) we've had in Iceland, it has a lot of things that are home made and absolutely tasty. It's also a great spot for northern lights viewing. Bonus: their cat, Grima, is a sweatheart! In conclusion we highly recommend this hotel and we can't wait to be back!

This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.

We had a wonderful stay at this property this New Years. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant was supposed to be closed but they made an exception specifically for us, providing delicious food. It was overall a very pleasant experience!

Room was super beautiful, clean and spacious. The landscape around was full of snow, so peaceful and serene. Godafoss is 10 min away and it was definitely one of my favorite waterfalls in Iceland.
The girl working in the kitchen was super friendly and nice and the family living there kindly let us use the kitchen for our dinner.
Featuring a restaurant, this summertime hotel is located in the rural surroundings of the Reykjadalur valley. Akureyri is 60 km away, while Husavik is 40 km away. Free high-speed WiFi is included.

- very good location if you want to visit Husavik or Godafoss
- the best breakfast we’ve had in Iceland
- Staff was very very friendly and gave us a lot of information on the sites
- just want to mention there’s a gas station and also a small supermarket and restaurant close by in case you want to refill your car or your stomach :)
Ideal for visiting Mývatn area and without the bugs!
Ideal for visiting Mývatn area and without the bugs! Also close to Húsavík area. Including Dettifoss and Asbyrgi. Note that Google Maps is incorrect. (See Apple maps or something else). Google maps does not show all the roads (very strange but true). Also important. The road from Mývatn to Adaldalur are paved roads. No gravel. A lot of Information on the internet (even road.is) is outdated.
