Very lovely chalets, reminded me of alpine wood huts. Very comfortable and cozy although they might get a little cold during winter months. But enough blankets and heating possibilities were provided.
Very nice owner who was totally helpful and offered us different rooms upon arrival if we would not be satisfied. All in all a great, although short stay.

We were very appreciative of the hotel staff, especially Alla, who went out of their way to provide us with a meal when the restaurant was closed and we had missed the booking.com message. Real customer service in action.

Self check-in and check-out process was easy and there was ample of parking space. Note: go straight to main building, enter through a frosted glass door with fish on it and look for room with your name pasted on the door. Although the room was a little old but we slept comfortably throughout the night. It was well heated too. There was a water kettle in common dining hall if you need one. Breakfast was self-serviced and the ingredients were in the kitchen.

Lovely shared kitchen, and although the bathroom was shared, it was next to our room and I was unaware of anyone else using it during our stay.
Great breakfast - unfortunately we stayed too late in the year for the evening restaurant to be open for dinner.

It was clean in the barrels, the bathrooms and toilets
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm.
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm. The hotel handled the situation very amenably. Good food in the hotel and also at the café and village shop in Breiddalsvik itself, which is about 5 km away. Fantastic scenery all round. Motor museum and brewery in the village with the opportunity to go for horse rides directly from the hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel. We felt very welcomed, the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. All spotless clean. Loved that the staff spoke Spanish and were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic, and as we were the only ones at the time, they prepared everything just for us. Thank you Arnór! We'd definitely love to return!

Excellent Lodging - Beautiful views. I left an iPad at the property and they were able to have it sent and delivered to my hotel in Reykjavik. Peaceful setting.
We booked at Hotel Post, but upon arrival we were "upgraded" to the neighbouring Hotel Breiddalsvik (same owners apparently), my evaluation reflects that place.
