Located in Eyvindarhólar and only 9.4 km from Skogafoss Waterfall, Welcome Holiday Home provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Nice cabin at the foot of beautiful hills. It was very comfy with the biggest window to look out as far as the ocean! We had a very stormy night when we stayed and wow what a way to watch it all blow by. It had everything we needed and would certainly recommend.

The cozy self check in Hotel Skoga is just 5 minutes walk from the spectacular Skogafoss Waterfall situated at the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

The location is just perfect, few minutes walking from Skógafoss (which is a super plus if you fancy "private" visitation - just go for a morning or evening visit before/after everyone else). The bedroom size is ok, you can easily fit your stuff. The shower is just amazing (after a long day visiting, you gonna be seeking for a good and warm shower). The hottub outside is good, with a nice view. The breakfast is nice, with a good amount of options. Last but not least, you can find a coffee machine and tea available all the time in the ground floor, which is very nice as well.

Featuring a lounge and views toward Eyjafjallajökull, Umi Hotel is located at the foot the famous volcano in South Iceland. It features a terrace and views of the sea.

Amazing location, good sized room, Mountain View is better than sea view, great breakfast and restaurant. We were lucky enough to see amazing northern lights. BUT what was equally amazing was the colleague team and managers who really enjoyed chatting and engaging with guests.

    The so-called “self-checkin” was a disaster.

The so-called “self-checkin” was a disaster. Two other couples arrived at the same time as us, and none of us had any idea how to find our gain access to our rooms. There was a free phone “help line in the foyer but that went straight to voicemail. We luckily ran into an American couple who had checked in the previous day, and they advised how the system worked. They said that I would get an email from our agent (booking.com). I said I had checked the evening before and there was nothing. They advised that this notification was only sent out a couple of hours before planned check in - which I would rate as useless, since many travellers rely on the WiFi provided at their hotel, and ther was no indication of how to get onto the WiFi on arrival. A “staff member” eventually arrived, but he could hardly speak English (he was apparently Bulgarian) and he was no help. He also refused to carry my girlfriend’s suitcase upstairs (there was no elevator), claiming a bad back (which miraculously healed up when we left). The shower was a joke. You literally had to run around to get wet. The were a small number of needle-thin jets, with low water-pressure. The toilet seat was a cheap plastic thing, the sort of style you would expect to see in a back-packer’s. The was only one dispenser on the shower, to cover soap and shampoo. There was a balcony, but the lock on the door didn’t work, making a potential security risk. The hotel came up in a search for hotels in Vik, but was about 60k’s away (however that turned out to be a plus for us. All in all, the way the hotel was run seemed to focus on providing the minimum at the lowest possible cost. No customer focus at all. There was a TV but we could not get it to work at all. Maybe it would have worked if we had some sort of streaming service contract (I.e Prime or Netflix, etc) but we don’t have any of them.
