The man who greeted us at reception was absolutely fantastic. You could tell he loves his job, loves the hotel, is passionate about the history and the area, and although we weren't nervous about the volcano, he was VERY good at putting people's mind at ease.
The food in the evening was excellent, and the cocktails matched. The whole hotel has a 'homely' vibe which was really nice.
The hotel lounge, with honesty bar, fire place, jigsaws and puzzles, was such a nice way to relax.
We had an early flight to catch, and yet we were still able to get up and make use of the breakfast buffet at 4am which was very much appreciated.
We'd contemplated staying at the Blue Lagoon hotels, but will absolutely be back here. Very, very pleasantly surprised, one of the nicest environments I've stayed in in a long time. Room was nice, spacious, clean, comfy beds, nice coffee, couldn't fault it. 10/10 really.

Location is completely desert. There could have been further information about this before the booking. This is temporary and as I was driving there was no issue, but I had to shop before in another city otherwise I did not have anything to eat or drink around in the location.
Set in Grindavík and only 9.1 km from Blue Lagoon, Converted Water Tower offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We like the uniqueness about this property. The property is amazing, spacious and very warm. Lovely to sit in the armchair watching the snow falling outside.
This hotel is only 100 metres from Keflavík International Airport and 25 minutes’ drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. WiFi and parking are free during your stay.

It’s a 5 min walk from the airport. Just across the car park. So it’s very convenient. It’s clean & the staff is helpful.
This hotel offers a free drop-off shuttle service to the neighbouring Keflavík International Airport between 04:00 and 10:00. WiFi and private parking are also free.

Shuttle was super convenient for an early morning flight.
Getting there the day prior was a little complex, but the bus 55 drops you within 10 min walk.
There was a miscommunication on the bed type, which was immediately resolved by the lovely reception staff.
The restaurant was great.
Well-appointed with a little shop at reception to purchase food.
The room was huge, and the bathroom was great.

Out of the four places I stayed at during my Iceland trip, I had the least expectations about Hotel Jazz due to the average Booking.com score, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived and found a nicely decorated hotel, and a squeaky clean room with seaview.
The bed was very comfortable and I had the best sleep of my trip.
The staff is very friendly and happy to help with any request. I found the room a little too warm, and the receptionist kindly turned down the underfloor heating.
The location is ideal for the airport, as it's just a 10-minute drive away.
I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Iceland.

Good option to stay here before an early flight. Quick self check-in and instructions. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Recommended.
We are located in a walk-able downtown of Keflavík and only a mere 5-minute drive from KEF Keflavik International Airport. WiFI is available through out public space and guest rooms.

Room was spacious and well-equipped. People at the reception were the best, stepping in front of me to get the door. When I asked for a wake-up call, it was even asked if they could bang at my door in case of no answer! Restaurant felt warm, which is rare at airport hotels. Location was perfect for an early flight.
Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon. We stayed here on our first night in Iceland going straight from the airport to the Blue lagoon then checked in.
Not a lot here but there’s a pretty church here
Tip: don’t buy supplies in the airport shop - we stocked up & it cost us a fortune. There’s a Netto in Grindavík

Grindavik is a small, beautiful fishing village close to the Geldingadalur volcano (but not too close) and the Blue Lagoon. It has many excellent hiking opportunities and great restaurants. Grindavik is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. Whale-watching, fishing, mountaineering, very friendly people, safe environment, you name it, Grindavik has it all!

Great location for Meradalir.
Great location for Meradalir. Fabulous fish and chips at Papas - Grindavik is a fishing town, so all fish is fresh that morning. Lovely walking around the town. Very peaceful. Great for exploring south coast and peninsula. Only 25 mins from Keflavik.

We stopped for one night during our Iceland tour to visit the Blue Lagoon and Fagradalsfjall, the volcano that erupted in 2021 and is still smoldering several months later. Grindavik is a working fishing village with a few local restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy, so is a really good spot to stay for a day when touring Iceland. It is not touristy though so don’t expect lots of shops selling the usual.

Grindavik is a lovely town with a huge fisherman history.
Grindavik is a lovely town with a huge fisherman history. It's super close to the Blue lagoon and volcano so, there are many options for hiking or relaxing. There's a grill place with a super nice man who told me a little about the history and life of Grindavik's people and he also sells awesome hotdogs. Wish I could've stayed longer but a huge storm came so I had to run away :)

Hello! We absolutely loved your guesthouse - it felt like home. Completing the entire Ring Road and staying in 9 other hotels, yours stands out as the best by far! The owners were delightful, and the fresh, delicious food made our time here truly enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay and much-needed rest. We'd love to return and, next time, take advantage of the spa offered by the owners' friends. Looking forward to another visit! 🇮🇸❤️❄️
The Hotel is brilliantly placed for the Blue Lagoon.
However, this Hotel has something that others do not - possibly the nicest hosts you could ever wish to meet. We were trapped in a blizzard, and the owners and staff could not do anymore for you. A great family Hotel run by great people who are there to give their guests a great experience. Great Hotel with great facilities, Congratulations on doing just that!!
Room was newly renovated and clean with enough space. There was a fridge and hairdryer. The breakfast was simple but for us it was OK. The Hotel is really close to Blue Lagoon resort.
It is closed due ti vulcan eruption! The roads to Grindavik are closed. They are not answaring on telepgone calls. Anyhow they do accept bookings via booking.com.
