The stay was even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The accommodation was clean and spacious enough. We really enjoyed our time here; this is also the place where we had the best view of the Northern Lights. Communication with the host went smoothly, and they were very friendly. We were a family of 9, 5 adults, 3 teenagers and a child seeing in the New Year in Iceland. Hrossholt is a fantastic property in a fairly remote location, but the views are spectacular. The house itself inside is very roomy and modern, as well as very warm with underfloor heating throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped with every facility you might need and the two bathrooms with their walk in showers, always had hot water with plenty of clean towels. The five bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfy and there was sufficient hanging and cupboard space for clothes. Outside, the large hot tub proved to be a focal point most evenings and with no light pollution we saw in 2025 with an amazing display from the Aurora. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home if you want an escape in a snowy paradise.
