Located 2.5 mi off Route 1, this family-run guest house is 25 minutes’ drive from Höfn. Set on a sheep farm, it provides simple, fresh rooms, a home-cooked breakfast and a dinner buffet with lamb.

Oh my gosh where do I even begin! This guesthouse was an absolute delight to stay at and thank god we had it for 2 nights! We were booked in one of their cabins overlooking a field and the mountains and it was just a dream. We would wake up to birds in the field chatting away and get to see the beautiful sunrise on the horizon and on the mountains. The location was beautiful with 360 uninterrupted sights. Their dining room is full of windows so every breakfast and dinner you can see the beautiful landscape while you eat. The cabin was easy to keep warm, very well insulated, and very roomy and cozy. We sat on the porch most mornings and evenings just taking it in. The staff were friendly and spoke english. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and food was plentiful. Highly, highly recommend and will 100% come back again in the future.

Room okay for one night but unfortunately a little overpriced. The buffet style breakfast is very basic and offers little to none options for dietary needs. The sound from adjacent rooms is quite audible due to the house's age and poor acoustics. Nice views and surroundings though.

If you want to really see Iceland stay on a farm.

If you want to really see Iceland stay on a farm. This one was great. Guests stay in an old farmhouse. The owners make themselves available to answer questions. There was a communal kitchen with a stove and refrigerator. Very helpful since we were traveling on a budget.
