This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.

The hostel is super cozy and welcoming, it's very clean and there's everything you need. The manager of the hostel is very friendly and helpful, easy going and a pleasure to talk to. I loved the fact that they give great importance to recycling. This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed.

This has been one of the most amazing apartments I stayed at so far. Everything is thought thru. From how the appartment is set up to what’s available in the kitchen, to soap in the bathroom and shower (actually one of the best ones Iceland has to offer), the washing machine and dryer , tv, sofa, stove and oven, dishwasher and even a fridge with a big freezer… you can easily stay there for a few days and will feel home.
On top of this the communication before and after was a clear 10!
Loved it a lot and it will not be the last time we spent some time there.

Arbol Guesthouse is the cutest guesthouse I stayed at in my entire Iceland holiday. You got everything you need in your room, everything was pretty clean, the design of the interior was beautiful and well elaborate and the hostess was so welcoming. She gave me a lot of advices for things to do in the area and where I still wanted to go. She's a local and pretty well known with Iceland (hiking, awesome spots and more beyond that). In the morning you got free coffee, juice or tea, some cookies and bananas for everyone who'd spend the night there.
