The property was well maintained and clean! The room was lovely and had good lighting, clean sheets and a huge bathroom. The kitchen was complete with plates, bowls , cookware, sink and a hot plate. We had full control of the radiator and could modulate the temperature as we needed. The bathroom had heated floors which was delightful. The property was great. Also the buffet breakfast was EXCELLENT! They had scrambled and boiled eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh waffles, toast, bread rolls, croissants, fruit, juice, a deli center with tuna salad, eggs salad, ham and cheese, yogurt, oatmeal and so much more! Very filling and delicious. Saved us a ton of money not having to eat out for breakfast and usually lunch if we timed it right! Also the parking garage is awesome if you can get a spot. We were unable to get one on our first day but street parking was plenty and easy to access.

Although the room was a little smaller than I expected, I can’t complain. The beds were very comfortable, room was clean, shower was really nice and all front desk staff we encountered were GREAT! We were able to check in early without issue, when I went to buy a bottle of water the front desk gal let me know the tap water there was drinkable (which I was hesitant about) but it was good and saved us money, and when we had last minute issues with our pre-booked transportation to the main bus station the front desk lady - at midnight - booked us a taxi for 3am. There are plenty of areas to hang out in the hotel, too, like the little library, lobby near the fire, community table and conference room. We liked being by the marina and within walking distance to the Lava Show and downtown.

The hotel located in the central of the city. The parking was free, so I could park the car at the hotel and went to several attractions on foot. The breakfast was superb, with alternative milk available. The room and bathroom were clean and new.
One thing I did’t like was the shower enclosure, which was too small so that the bathroom floor was always wet during showering.

Everywhere was clean. You get to experience all the seasons in a day which is odd. The waterfalls are out of this world and the Glaciers are immense and impressive to see.
Eating out was expensive so heading to Bonus their version of Lidl/Aldi, was a good alternative. It was still expensive in the supermarket but if you choose wisely you'll be fine. If you travel with young children im sure they will enjoy Iceland, however it will hit your wallet big time with having to feeds the kids and pay for souvenirs and treats. Maybe go alone :)
Very safe place to wonder the streets and take it all in.
If you get a hire car which I would suggest be very careful on the roads. The roads are some of the worst i have driven on with pot holes and tramlines etched into them. When your driving on a tramline and its icey it can be very difficult to keep the car where you want to go. But the max speed is 90kph / 55mph which doesnt seem fast but trust me on the ice and pothole roads its fast enough. Stick to the speed limit and use your judgement.

I recently spent two days in Reykjavik and absolutely loved it. The city is clean, vibrant, and incredibly welcoming. From the colourful streets of the Old Town to the modern charm of Harpa Concert Hall, Reykjavik blends culture and natural beauty effortlessly. The food scene was a pleasant surprise—fresh seafood, cosy cafes, and delicious pastries everywhere. Despite the short stay, I managed to explore a few of the local landmarks. It's a compact city and quite hilly but with a lot of heart—definitely worth visiting!

We loved how everything in the city was so walkable.
We loved how everything in the city was so walkable. Walking down the Laugavegur and popping into shops, reading the information boards, small parks with statues, etc, to interesting (free) places such as Hallgrímskirkja, Harpa and the City Hall.
Eating out seemed to be very expensive - what we would usually pay for a main was the cost of a starter! So, we did our shopping at Bónus supermarket, and arranged for all of our accommodation in Iceland to have use of a kitchen.

We had a fabulous time in this wonderful country.
We had a fabulous time in this wonderful country. We crammed as much into our 5 day stay as possible. Northern lights small group tour - amazing. Golden Circle small group tour with snow mobiling - stunning landscape and great fun. Lava show - unexpectedly fascinating. Magic Ice bar - underwhelming & expensive. Sky Lagoon - beautiful and relaxing (went first thing on Sunday morning).

Great place to stay in the heart of Reykjavik city centre. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is located on paid parking zone, but there were plenty of space to park your car, even in the high tourist season. A little tip for parking - park in zone P3 it is on 70-100m from the apartment, it is a way cheaper than P1.
In the apartment there is everything you need for you stay. Even in the city centre it was quiet and you can rest after long day of exploring and hiking in Icelandic nature.
Fantastic location located opposite Harpa Concert Hall. Very centrally located. Easy to walk to most things in downtown Reykjavik.
Sky Bar was great with lovely views and a great breakfast selection. This hotel actually had the best breakfast and the widest variety out all the hotels we stayed in (9) in Iceland.
Staff members were generally quite nice.
Staff is the best hotel staff I met! Location central -the best, bus stop 12 where tour buses /airport buses arrive when ordered is just at the entrance of hotel.Breakfast, dinner -great ! Next time in Reykjavik-I will book this hotel again, but next time -room with the view:)Just Big Thank you !
Basic room, very warm with all necessary to stay for a short break to visit Reykjavik, just in the town centre.
may need bit of renovation as furniture look cheap and basic, but everything was functional.
