Located a 5-minute walk from Black Sand Beach, Hotel Vík í Mýrdal offers 3-star accommodations in Vík and has a fitness center, a restaurant and a bar.

There aren’t many hotel options in Vik to choose from but this one did the trick. It’s a simple hotel with rooms being a bit on the smaller side but very clean. Beds and pillows were ok but not as comfortable as other hotels. Bathroom was nice with l’occataine products. Hotel breakfast was mediocre. Location was great. Could walk across the street to shops, restaurants and grocery. Staff was friendly and they offer an amazing service where you can request a wake up call if the northern lights are spotted.

Located in the village of Vik, this hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from the black sandy beaches of southern Iceland. Free private parking and free WiFi are available.

Rented the 123 Katrina apartment. It was much larger than expected. Extremely clean and comfortable beds. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Got a notice that the northern lights were out so we drove a few miles out of town to get away from the lights. Was able to see them for the very first time.

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is located in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the mountain view room had a beautiful view. It was worth it!

This hotel is in southern Iceland, 5.6 mi from Vík í Myrdal. It offers free WiFi in public areas and in the rooms.

Hotel room was nice with a very nice view. The staff was excellent, they always went above and beyond to accommodate us. The breakfast was decent, a lot to choose from. We only stayed one night, but it worked great for our trip around the island. Very close to Vik, which is a beautiful town with great restaurants.

The property is just a short ways away from Reynisfjara, and the view out of our windows in the morning was lovely. We just spent the night as part of a trip along the south coast, but it was as advertised--pretty no-frills and not fancy by any means, but clean, comfortable, and we had everything we needed.

Excellent location and a very cozy hostel.

Excellent location and a very cozy hostel. Very well maintained and clean communal spaces. A big plus that there are multiple showers as well. The host was also super friendly! It was even better than the images, we had the most amazing views all around the hostel! The breakfast area is mostly from glass so you can enjoy looking around whilst dining there. Will definitely return to stay here :) 10/10 recommend. The host also attended us aurora was there when we were waiting to see it and kindly turned off the lights for better views, so sweet!

We really enjoyed free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and even müssli and cookies. We appreciate the possibility to cook our own meals. Black beach Reynisfjara with amazing huge waves is just around the corner. Other attractions of the south are nearby. Vík is not far by car and you can buy there everything you need while travelling around iceland.
