This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.Guest review byLinda & NickUnited States - Review score10.0
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory. Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.Guest review bySuzanneUnited States

Breakfast was not included but was well worth the charge. The selection on offer was fantastic. We loved the cheese filled croissants and the waffle maker. When we arrived there was live music outside the hotel in the yard. The hotel sits at the centre of a beautiful village on the edge of a fjord surrounded by mountains and waterfalls.
