Very cute mountain house surrounded by stunning mountain and ocean views, belonging to a family on a nearby farm. A mountain stream flows nearby and there is a special feeling of natural peace. We arrived at midnight, but thank you hosts for allowing us to check-in ourselves. The house is very comfortable and has a terrace. The location is easily accessible by car. It's definitely worth spending more days there, if you want to relax and enjoy the view from the foot of the mountain. The house is equipped with everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. A very good place to stay if you are travelling through Iceland.

It was wonderful. Lovely hosts room was modern decorated, very comfortable and very clean. We didn’t have supper there as arriving late but if we stayed again would have supper, smelled delicious. Breakfast was lovely and gorgeous view of ocean from dining area and watched whales at breakfast. Amazing views.

It was pretty convenient, because we were doing the ring road and we needed a place to spend the night before arriving into Reikiavik again. It was in front of a restaurant that serves food from morning to 10 pm, which is not common in Iceland. There’s a gas station pretty near the property and a supply store. The room was spacious and clean.

The bathroom and kitchen were really nice, clearly new and modern. The lounge space was nice as well. Washer/dryer access was helpful. A few restaurants are within walking distance but all were unfortunately closed when we arrived. However, it was a very short drive to more options.

The room we booked was big enough to be able to unpack and store the luggage. The bathroom was also big enough. The room had a great ocean view. The shared kitchen and fridge were quite practical. The facility was clean and close to a trails by the cliffs (they were a bit muddy that day).We had a great diner at the nearby restaurant and we walked in the evening into the village. Overall, I would stay there again.

Great stopping off point to explore northern Iceland.
Great stopping off point to explore northern Iceland. Right on the sea at the foot of a hike-able mountain. The town is very small, but it has a well stocked grocery store for self-catering options, and a nice restaurant. The views are striking and there are many hiking options. An easy drive to many other towns and sites.
