The location is just perfect, few minutes walking from Skógafoss (which is a super plus if you fancy "private" visitation - just go for a morning or evening visit before/after everyone else). The bedroom size is ok, you can easily fit your stuff. The shower is just amazing (after a long day visiting, you gonna be seeking for a good and warm shower). The hottub outside is good, with a nice view. The breakfast is nice, with a good amount of options. Last but not least, you can find a coffee machine and tea available all the time in the ground floor, which is very nice as well.
This hotel is in southern Iceland, 9 km from Vík í Myrdal. It offers free WiFi in public areas and in the rooms.

Location was fantastic, close to Vik and easy to find. Perfect spot to stay in if you want to visit the South of the Island, close to Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Lovely views from the cabin and surrounding areas, cabins spaced nicely apart so it feels very remote. However, at almost £300 a night, I would have expected better and cleaner facilities. Upon our arrival, the outdoor bins were completely overflowing, from the previous guests. Rubbish was spilled onto the ground and there were ripped open black rubbish bags surrounding the bin. The owner looked at this when she let us in, and took one tiny bag of rubbish off the top of the bin, but the rest was left there for the whole of our stay. The cabin was clean..ish but again I would have expected higher standards. There were hairs and dust on the windowsills, fingerprints on the hob and the shower curtain was covered in black mould at the bottom and smelt really bad when it got wet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and only really used the cabin as a base to sleep at the end of long days.

We had an excellent stay in the cosy wooden lodge. Our children loved the friendly dog and enjoyed playing with them. Great facilities and very clean. Lovely to look out of the window and see the animals and mountains. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely place to stay. Perfect for us after the long 24km beautiful walk. Had messaged Inga with a few questions and always got back to me. So helpful. Great location, quiet, clean and comfortable.
Sólheimahjáleiga Guesthouse is a cozy and lovely country house. We asked to give us a room with a mountain view, and the very friendly host gave us a room with beautiful windows with soothing views. We also had dinner there and every course was delicious and homemade. Same with the good and plentiful breakfast. At night we saw our first Northern Lights in Iceland and this place will remain in our hearts for that. For me it is a 10.
We had a Great stay in Sólheimahjáleiga Guesthouse. The room was nice and clean. Timeless atmosphere and good position close to Reynisfjara Beach. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both very good and rich with local products (they have animals and Vegetable in the farm). The staff was friendly and helpful (the owner speaks italian perfectly 😉). The best stay in our trip! Really recommended!
We stayed at 11 different properties during our trip to Iceland and this location was among my favorites. The design of the room was thoughtful and what made this property very comfortable was a shared kitchen/lounge that was furnished with anything that would be needed to make a quick meal/snack. The hotel was very clean and the continental breakfast was good.
During our stay at Sólheimahjáleiga Guesthouse, we were satisfied with the friendly staff who spoke to us during our arrival and provided us with information.
The accommodation is ideally located for quick visits to Skogafoss & Reynisfjara Beach and is not directly on the ring road which makes it pleasant for sleeping.
