Clean room, but old creaky noisy bed. Good wifi and parking, good breakfast, view from the room is over the parking and the wall along a road. Pet friendly, cleaning staff very friendly, reception staff less so, a smile would be welcome. Location is near a small shopping mall, with only 1 restaurant in the neighbourhood (closed on Tuesdays).
Set in gardens and surrounded by palm trees, Orizzonte Acireale Hotel offers an outdoor pool with panoramic views of Mount Etna. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are provided.
Grande Albergo Maugeri is set in Acireale’s historical center, a 5-minute walk from Acireale Cathedral. Its spacious rooms offer free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and an LCD TV.

The delicious breakfast, with homemade orange pie, apricot pie, chocolate pie, and cheese pie. The room is very clean and quiet. The free parking is in the hotel garage, very safe and convenient for us.
Set right next to a rocky shoreline in Acireale within the Timpa Natural Reserve, Santa Tecla Palace offers an infinity pool and a panoramic terrace with views of the sea and Mount Etna.

Room is very large and clean, everything is nicely made. The owner is super nice and caring, helps you with almost everything, communication only in Italian ;)

Beautiful B&B! Silvio was a wonderful host! Our terrace had many turtles! Beautiful rooftop breakfast area with stunning view of Mt. Etna! Great restaurants within walking distance. 45 minutes from Taormina.

The town is wonderful and filled with history. we where lucky enough to visit during their carnival, which is something special especially with children.
Even the locals are wonderful, mornings in the piazza's are like from a movie, time moving slowly and everyone talking to each other over a coffee.
I loved it and looking forward to visit again.

Acireale is a peaceful small city.
Acireale is a peaceful small city. Although not so big but has a lot to offer. The carnival is the main highlight of the city. Piazza Duomo is a lovely square in which there are various churches, restaurants, cafeterias, and outlets within a small walking distance.
There are a couple of interesting sites to visit such as the Duomo of Saint Sebastian, the Acireale Cathedral dedicated to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary where you can go up to the bell tower, and various other adjacent churches. The Museo dei Pupi is also another must-visit site. The museum is about the art of puppetry, an art dating back centuries ago and which still was in place until the 70s. The Biblioteca Zelantea is another site that retraces the history of the city with a library containing historical books and documentation, paintings, statues, and other historical artifacts.
The negative aspects of the city circle around the rubbish on the streets and various buildings requiring extensive restoration because they are old and shabby.

We stayed in Acireale so that we were fairly central without being in the middle of busy Catania. It was exactly what we had hoped for. A quiet, peaceful traditional sicilian town without the hustle and bustle. It is easy to get to and from the centre and the train station using a shuttle bus and there are regular trains to Catania, Taormina and further afield each day. Despite being a small town there were plenty of places to eat and drink, including some restaurants which could provide gluten free food for coeliacs and a dedicated gluten free bakery which was absolutely divine! We went in August which was also carnival time which was wonderful to watch.

There are much better place to stay in Sicily.
There are much better place to stay in Sicily.
Acireale has very limited restaurants.. good for sea food lovers. Food was expensive! but not much varieties of Italian pizza and pasta! Views were good but Acireale is very quite and 25 minutes walk to the near place! No trains, trams and bus service! You have only two options to travel… walk or taxi. Sea looked beautiful but it was Rocky so I wasn’t comfortable to swim. Toarmina was good great. Avoid sea in Acireale. Go to south where you can find sandy beaches

Lovely city, very cosy and pretty.
Lovely city, very cosy and pretty. The sea is wonderful, the food is insane - no matter where you go, you eat well. The locals are friendly and always ready to help. They don't speak much English, but they're still helpful!

Lovely place, and a very beautiful villa! All you need is there.
If you love to come home to a quiet place to relax with AMAZING views of Etna and Sea it is the perfect spot. We used our own car and the location is perfect to visit Etna, Tormina, Nebrodi National park, Messina, Catania, The host Julietta is so nice, and helped a lot. Will recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit east coast of Sicily.
Adriana is an excellent in hosting and her house is perfectly clean. Basic amenities, food store and a meat shop, are near by in this small village of Stazzo. When you'll arrive flying in Sicily, you don't necessarily need a car here in Stazzo.
The bus stop is nearby the house. During the school days there are good bus connections to local cities of Riposto and Acireale.
An excellent property with an amazing owner who goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is the best it can be. 5 star service from the time we booked and even after we left. We transferred to a conference hotel nearby for the remainder of our stay (for a conference) and the two were worlds apart.
The staff (receptionists, waitresses) did their best, the hotel is small and, therefore, there are no crowds at the swimming pool or in a restaurant. A cosy, calm place to relax.
Fantastic location for exploring the Etna and the east coast of Sicily. Comfortable, homey accommodation with everything we needed/wanted for our stay.
