The staff were very friendly and helpful, they gave us a list of restaurant recommendations. The location is convenient. There's a supermarket nearby if you would like to grab something for breakfast or get some drinks. The chapel is beautiful.

We came for the White Truffle Festival and stayed just one entire day (two nights). We probably could have stayed for another day, but were bouncing around to different cities in Italy. It's a small city, but still has some great gelato and food. The truffle festival is small; we spent a couple of hours there. Then we went on a truffle hunting tour. We booked a private car to take us to the woods because we did not want to rent a car (we booked through the tour company. it was pretty expensive, but cheaper than quotes we got from asking random drivers). At night there was a medieval festival, so that was fun too! If you like wine, there is definitely a lot of that as this is wine country!

Alba is a very cute and cosy place.
Alba is a very cute and cosy place. People are very kind and the nature is beautiful. But it is also very small, so I think 4 days was just enough to see everything, but of course it depends on what you are looking for, of course you if you want just to chill for many days you can stay more. Also if you have plans for hiking or biking, I cant say about that since we didnt do that.
All in one: we had just good experience with food, everywhere we had good food. You need definitely a car to be able to visit small villages around and drive the valleys down and up :)
The city center is nice to visit, but there are not much interesting shops than you already know, more interesting is the weekend market, where people offer regional food (Meat, trufels, sweats, etc.)
3 days of our stay was rainy and foggy, which was not much activities we could do during the day, since the beautiful views of the valleys were hidden by the clouds (it was also nice experience to see other face of Alba) but definetley the sunny day was much more beautiful.

Alba is at the heart of the Langhe.
Alba is at the heart of the Langhe. Make sure to visit the surrounding towns - Neive, Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra, Asti, etc - all just 30 mins away in either direction. If you like good food and great wines, the Langhe is a must-visit!

We explored mainly the central part of Alba which was very quaint and charming. The porticos were a pleasant surprise and the cleanliness of the town. The people were friendly and those that live there tell us they wouldn't leave. Alba seemed to have everything: shops, great food, architecture, cobbled stones, but wasn't overrun with tourists when we were there in early October.

This is wine country.
This is wine country. We visited during the off season so it was also hot and many of the cellars were closed but we still managed to fill all our days. There are so many little towns - we loved our location to Alba for the food, shopping, and just walking around. The town of Alba is lovely.

Liked the wineries and restaurants in the area.
Liked the wineries and restaurants in the area. Had a tasting of hazelnut products in town.
Would have like more time to do the underground Alba tour of the Roman remains of the old town.
Would loved to have done a tour of the Ferrero factory but that is not an option. Loved that the smell of Nutella was in the air as soon as we got out of the car in the carparks outside of the pedestrian centre,

The rental did not include breakfast. The location in the center of Alba was perfect for enjoying the truffle festival, dining out and shopping. And if we wanted to, we could prepare an easy lunch in the kitchen and have a glass of wine. The kitchen was decently stocked and had a table for casual meals. We liked the apartment very much! And parking for our rental car was free in a lot a short distance away.
Everything is wonderful about this hotel - the location with the view overlooking the vineyards, the pool, the hotel interior and room, and the very lovely and helpful staff. It’s a must to visit Alba and stay with Hotel Langhe while you are in Piemonte!
The owner gives such a personal touch to this hotel, he makes all guests feel at home.
The breakfast is amazing!!
Basic hotel with no charm but the room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The location was great - 10 minutes walk to the main streets of Alba and the hotel has a free parking lot. Bonus point: the hotel manager speaks perfect English and French! Great value for money for a short stay.
Great historical building located in the center of Alba. Everything is walking distance and the apartment is prepared with every single detail you might need. The host received us with great care, and made sure we had all the needed tips one might need. We felt very welcomed!
The calm even though close to road. It is well situated to reach Alba (by car). The staff is very helpful and nice. The private parking garage with direct access to the hotel.
