The hotel looks a bit old-fashioned but it is new. It seems to be redecorated recently so everything is quite new and fresh.
The view from my room was beautiful with mountains.
The breakfast was moderate. We had eggs, meat, yogurt, breast and fruits. It was more than enough.
The staff was kind and polite.
The parking exists but it is limited. We came quite early so we could find a parking spot. But in a few hours later all the parking was full.
Set in a historic part of Chiavenna, Hotel Crimea is close to the town's famous Crotti caves. Some of its rooms offer a balcony with views of Pratogiano Park. Parking is free.

Antonio's apartment is centrally located in Chiavenna near many shops and restaurants. The apartment is easy to access via a mid-rise condominium complex and the instructions provided were easy to follow. The apartment is comfortable, kitchen well equipped (with washing machine under the sink), and super fast wi-fi. The views of the mountains outside the kitchen balcony are incredible. Antonio was so helpful and friendly making the stay very memorable.

Chiavenna is a very attractive town in northern Italy, rich in historic heritage and framed by beautiful mountains with a variety of hiking opportunities, and of course good food. It is close to Lake Como and Switzerland with excellent public transport connections.

We stayed there only for two nights.
We stayed there only for two nights. We've been skiing in Madesimo and sleeping in Chiavenna. We didn't spend a lot of time there. We went for dinner one night, Ristorante Pizzeria l'Arca - a place to recommend, however, the atmosphere in the evening was shady and most of the buildings looked abandoned.

We were just passing on our way to sankt moritz, and had to stay, because of a heavy rain. We found a last minute offer in Pianazzola, which is a small village above Chiavenna. That place was absolutely stunning. Old stone houses, beautiful views, magical atmosphere. There goes very steap road, which was fun to ride on a motorbike.

A lovely little town which has a lot of mediterranean flair, though it's situated in alpine surroundings. Beautiful old town with nice piazzas and restaurants. Not very touristic, it has still a lot of northern italian authenticity.

Chiavenna is a picturesque town, which was apparently quite prosperous in medieval times, and many of the old buildings are well preserved. The mountain views are gorgeous. Our only regrets were that it rained throughout our day there, and we were unable to stay longer.

Beautifully renovated with everything needed for a great short or long stay in Chiavenna. A very comfortable bed. The apartment is close to the toad but it is very well soundproofed. Excellent double glazed windows and doors. Very close to a great Restaurant snd small supermarket. The town centre is about 1.5 km away. Very good value for the location. The owner was lovely, nothing was a problem. Highly recommended.
The hotel is very welcoming. A few minutes walk close to the main train station and bus terminus.
The reception was quite helpful giving us assistance when required.
The hotels "crotta" (restaurant) is one of the best in the village offering a variety of traditional dishes as well as contemporary cuisine.
Everything was perfect. Giovanni was an excellent host, always attentive, available for anything and very friendly and kind. The b&b also has an excellent location, in the center of Chiavenna and near the train station. Breakfast was delicious!. Highly recommended.
We went for a couple of days to relax. We were very happy with the hotel, the atmosphere and the good food in the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and everything clean and tidy.
A very nice and comfortable hotel in a picturesque area. Extremely pleasant hotel staff. Very tasty and not expensive food in a restaurant. I sincerely recommend.
