We reserved 5 rooms for 12 people through Booking.com. When we arrived, the staff said Booking.com had information that there were only 5 people total in our reservation. The staff seemed quite overwhelmed by our arrival but made it work for us. They were very kind and helpful after the initial shock of so many more people arriving in our party. The hotel is beautiful, and the breakfast was amazing! Great location.

At the southwestern tip of its beautiful lake, Como has wonderful views of the surrounding Alps. A cable car runs up to the village of Brunate, where you can see Switzerland on the opposite side.
The peaceful location is a favorite with celebs, but the town has been around since Roman times. In fact, 2 of its most famous sons – Pliny the Elder and Younger – are commemorated in statues on the façade of the 14th-century cathedral. The next-door Broletto dates to the previous century, and the remains of the medieval walls and Castello Baradello are even older and sit on a hill overlooking the town.
Much more modern in style, the Casa del Fascio was built during Mussolini’s rule. The streets between here and the waterfront are packed with shops, bars and restaurants, and Lake Como boat trips depart from the small marina.
The neighboring park houses a temple-like museum about Alessandro Volta (another former resident), and around the shoreline is elegant Villa Olmo which looks across landscaped gardens to the water’s edge.
The Como accommodations on Booking.com include luxury lakefront hotels, centrally located B&Bs and cheap apartments near San Giovanni Train Station, with direct services to Milan.

Great location for walking and exploring the little quaint towns on the side of the lake. It had everything and was just beautiful. Would come back again.
We enjoyed Brunate. Great walk there but very steep. Buses were great too.

Como provides something for everyone, quaint streets to stroll down, great selection of shops and plentiful bars and restaurants to choose from. Getting the boat to other areas on the lake is a must, all very different, smaller villages with their own charm and appeal.

It was the 5th time or so we went to Como.
It was the 5th time or so we went to Como. We love Como because it is not too crowdy and not yet discovered by tourists. A nice place to be, to eat well and do some shopping. Shops are local stores: you will not find Louis Vuitton or Channel nor Zara or Mango. But this makes the place so unique and interesting. Nice walks in the green and of course the enjoy the lake.

The best destination in the area, in size, entertainment and food options. Is also very easy to access by train (we flew to Linate airport).
Food in commo is a bit pricy (Amsterdam prices) but the quality and the service are definitely worthy! I would recommend: Donnarumma (pizzas), Comocafe and Ristorante Sociale (food & wine), steak in Da Rino and L'ántica Trattoria.
We were in Bellagio, in my opinion is overrated, a big city market, no suitable for children. Varena, is a bit more authentic and definitely easy to walk around.

I loved Como!
I loved Como! It was a lovely place full of amazing shops and restaurants. I especially like the marina and lake areas. I went in January and it was cold but still beautiful. It would be amazing when it's warmer.
We took a ferry to Bellagio, but almost everything was closed. And the ferry ride took 45 minutes and was rough. We both ended up seasick and took the bus back.
A drive around the lake is fabulous. On the east side are beautiful villages with places to stop for coffee and food. On the west side, there are many very long tunnels. After that it is very scenic. If you drive beware of the buses. They honk when they are going around corners. Get tight to the wall. It's scary!

Very near to train, bus, boat station, groceries and restaurants. The place is in the heart of the city and all the interesting place and activities. It was easy to find and really 4min walk to Como Lago Nord Train station. The property is clean and feels like we were check in a 4Star Hotel. The owner responds quick and the instructions to get in to the property are very clear.Almost all we need are provided.. Definitely we will book again when we visit Como.. I will give Al Molo 2 a 10/10.. highly recomended..
Amazing hotel in Como. The hotel is in the perfect location really close to the centre of Como, the lake and the train station. The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing. The breakfast is at a lovely cafe just down the road and was really tasty, the staff there were also lovely. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel, it was the perfect base for us while visiting beautiful Lake Como. The rooms were the perfect size and comfort for what we needed too.
The bathroom! It was so thoughtfully equipped and so cosy, with a piping hot towel radiator on all the time. Everything we needed was provided in the bedroom too, with a big comfy bed and nice linens. The family owners were charming and gave us good advice about visiting the lakeside villages. They run the restaurant at the front of the hotel and we had a jolly meal there. Como is absolutely delightful at Christmas - the best decorated town we’ve seen anywhere!
Hotel looked out onto the Lake which was stunning! Location, I would rate it 10/10. slightly outdated hotel but that’s the case for many in Italy. I think just for the price for the two nights, it could be nicer but of course it’s the location that makes it expensive!! It was perfect for what we needed but isn’t luxurious I would say☺️ But everything was clean, the bed was so comfortable and shower was great! Staff were helpful too!
Impressive hotel across the lake, an old building that is wonderfully maintained.
It's a lovely room watching the lake COMO.
Everything in the hotel is highly maintained and beautiful, loved the bath room and room.
