The house is in a tiny, lovely village right at the foot of Val Grande National Park (mind that you need to have a car to move around). It takes just a few minutes to get right on the nearest trails (Ponte Romano is just 10 minutes away). The house is clean and cozy, with everything one may need. There is a lovely fireplace that you can use on colder days (the host was supplying me with wood to ensure I was warm). I couldn't fulfill my hiking plans due to the bad weather, so I took the opportunity to rest instead, and this place was just right for that. The host was attentive and friendly. I am sure I'll take a second chance to explore Val Grande Park and hope to visit this place again.

Host was easy to speak to, and waited for us to arrive to the property before giving us the keys for the room. This property is in a hard to reach place, with a fantastic car drive time to get there, and it was nice of him waiting for us to make sure we got to the property safely.
The place stays in the heart of the natural park of Val Grand, and waking up in the middle of nature is totaly worth the distrance and travel to get there.
Hotel Regina Palace is a majestic Art Nouveau building offering refined classic-style interiors and a large garden with pool. It is right on the shore of Lake Maggiore, in Stresa.

Hotel Della Torre is a well-maintained, family-run hotel set just out of Stresa town centre and only 150 metres from Lake Maggiore. Enjoy pretty lake views from the gardens.

This hotel is a magnificent grand property with exceptional staff to match. The room we had was cozy and inviting with a wonderful balcony overlooking the lake.
Best of all.... as it rained a couple of days, we spent time in the Spa which was amazing and the perfect place to rest and unwind.
Breakfast was excellent and the staff were attentative and polite.
