Hotel is about two minutes by foot from Train Station Brignole (same name as hotel), but in nice, quiet street, without any problems with hotel environment/surroundings. Metro station is also beside the Train Station, so - no problem with transportation. Hotel is very nice, with big room, nice and comfort bathroom, TV, fridge, safe, everything you may need. Staff was very friendly, ready to help and even to chat a little. Near the hotel there are many places, restaurants where you can it, like in Via Cesarea. Probably need about 20-30 minutes by foot from hotel to center of the city (Piazza Raffaele de Ferrari) or to the Port. Genova is extremely nice city (but also big industrial city with huge port), and with beautiful viewpoints that can be reached by unusual elevators or funiculars. Also, Genova is good jumping point for Savona, Sanremo, Portofino, Santa Margherita, Rapallo, and - of course - Cinque Terre. Great place to visit.
Hotel Chopin offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi a 2-minute walk from Genoa Piazza Principe Train Station. Genoa Cruise and Ferry Terminal is 400 metres away.

Hugging the Ligurian coastline, Genoa boasts Europe’s largest old town and Italy’s largest seaport. As birthplace of Christopher Columbus, its heart and soul is the port, site of the Naval Museum and the ship-shaped Aquarium.
By the old port (Porto Antico) are several bars and restaurants serving the local speciality – pesto. Other Genoese favourites are focaccia and fresh fish from its Mediterranean shores. Don’t miss the homemade gelato ice cream along the seafront promenade – Corso Italia. East of here is the tranquil Boccadasse neighbourhood, where colourful boats bob up and down.
The best city views are from Villetta di Negro, a raised, shady park with a waterfall. Below is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Via Garibaldi, home to the ornately decorated Palazzo dei Rolli.
South is the old town with its black-and-white cathedral and Piazza de Ferrari, featuring a large fountain and historic buildings including the Doge’s Palace. The surrounding area is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets flying the Genoa flag, supposedly where the English took theirs from. Each features bars, restaurants and unique shops, while fancy boutiques are on Via XX Settembre.
As you approach Genova Airport look out for the fortresses on the lush hills forming the backbone of the ‘Superb City’. Booking.com has a range of Genoa accommodation, from hotels to apartments and B&Bs.

This is such a stunningly beautiful city, with historical and interesting things to see everywhere. The surrounding area is also amazing in all directions. I'd love to spend an entire week or more exploring everywhere and eating the entire time and hope to do so at some point. Do not miss the Bassilica dell' Anunziata, it is truly stunning and an experience you'll be sure to never forget! We also booked s self guided digital tour through booking dot com that was excellent and pointed us to treasures I missed on precious visits. Well worth it and Matteo was personally available online when o had questions! For young children don't miss the pirate ship in the old port!

A very impressive port city and easy to walk around once you are there. I ate at Il Genoveve (on a recommendation) and it was excellent. The nearby Oriental Market (MOG) was an unexpected delight and looked a good place to eat too.

The 72-hour museum card was very useful, you could travel with it, and it is worth it. For example, in the district called Nervi there are 3 museums, in castles in a beautiful park, special trees, interesting flowers, the corso in front is 3 km long, and you can admire the sea waves breaking on the rocks

Very underrated, but beautiful city. People were lovely, no crowds. Felt very authentic. It felt wonderful to be surrounded by locals and hear Italian spoken everywhere, unlike other very touristy Italian cities.

Pra' - Voltri is at short distance from the homonymous motorway exit. Pra’ is famous for its basil, the true and only original Genoese, which can be purchased directly from the producer on site. Pra' and Voltri are a good starting point for getting to know Genoa and for excursions to the entire Ligurian coast.
In Voltri there are free and paid beaches, the sea is clean and various amenities (restaurants, museums, parks) are located in the area. In nearby Pegli, in addition to the beach, the Durazzo Pallavicini Park is worth a visit, with a 2.5 km path that crosses almost 9 hectares of land and takes you back in time, between neoclassical avenues and 19th century scenery along with the Ligurian Archaeology Museum. Boats depart from the Porto Antico for whale watching. And don't forget the real Genoese focaccia and farinata, just two of the many specialties of Ligurian cuisine.

Our stay in Genoa was absolutely perfect! The apartment was incredibly comfortable, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. The host was exceptionally attentive and made us feel right at home. Having private parking was a huge bonus, as it’s rare to find in Genoa. The internet was impressively fast, which is not always easy to come by in Italy – a big plus for remote work or streaming. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Truly a gem!
The room is warm and cozy, it has its own heater, but the marble floor is cold, as well as the common areas. Easy contactless check-in, you find the keys in the boxes by the door. The breakfast is very light, just croissant, tiny toasts with jam and coffee/juice, but this is quite common in Italy. For this price I would stay there again.
The hotel is within walking distance to the main attractions. The room was very clean with balcony and a nice view. The breakfast was excellent. Personal of the hotel very friendly and helpful to accommodating all the requests.
