Offering modern air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, Hotel Nologo is in a great location in the center of Genova, a 15-minute walk from Palazzo Ducale and Genoa Aquarium.

We booked for easy late check-in and possibility to leave our bags after check-out. And all was perfect. Short walk from Genuja Brignole train station, easy to find, since there is huge sign on hotel building. Staff were very helpful and attentive. No problem to get extra duvet if needed. Comfortable bed. We didn't experience any major noise.

A 3-minute walk from Genova Brignole Train and Metro Station, this 3-star hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV and a free wired internet connection.

Location near the train station is great. It's also right near a pedestrian areas with small shops. The room was large and had a view of the train station. Very high ceilings. 24 hour desk - all with very polite gentlemen. When I reported the internet out in our area at 6 am, the guy immediately did a check and fixed it. Very impressive! Very helpful with travel advice and storing our bags. I really enjoyed the guys working there. Excellent value.

FAQs about hotels in Genoa

Ship Shape and Fancy Free

Right on the Ligurian coast, Genoa features Europe’s largest historic quarter and Italy’s largest seaport. As the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, its heart and soul is the port, site of the Naval Museum and the ship-shaped Aquarium.

By the old port (Porto Antico), there are several bars and restaurants serving the local specialty, pesto. Other Genoese favorites are focaccia and fresh fish from its Mediterranean shores. Don’t miss the homemade gelato ice cream along the seafront promenade, Corso Italia. East of here is the tranquil Boccadasse neighborhood, where colorful boats bob up and down.

The best city views are from Villetta di Negro, a raised, shady park with a waterfall. Below is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Via Garibaldi, home to the ornately decorated Palazzo dei Rolli.

South is the historic quarter with its black-and-white cathedral and Piazza de Ferrari, featuring a large fountain and historic buildings including the Doge’s Palace. The surrounding area is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets flying the Genoa flag, supposedly where the English took theirs from. Each features bars, restaurants and unique shops, while fancy boutiques are on Via XX Settembre.

As you approach Genova Airport, look out for the fortresses on the lush hills forming the backbone of the "Superb City." Booking.com has a range of Genoa accommodations, from hotels to apartments and B&Bs.

This is such a stunningly beautiful city, with historical and interesting things to see everywhere. The surrounding area is also amazing in all directions. I'd love to spend an entire week or more exploring everywhere and eating the entire time and hope to do so at some point. Do not miss the Bassilica dell' Anunziata, it is truly stunning and an experience you'll be sure to never forget! We also booked s self guided digital tour through booking dot com that was excellent and pointed us to treasures I missed on precious visits. Well worth it and Matteo was personally available online when o had questions! For young children don't miss the pirate ship in the old port!

A very impressive port city and easy to walk around once you are there. I ate at Il Genoveve (on a recommendation) and it was excellent. The nearby Oriental Market (MOG) was an unexpected delight and looked a good place to eat too.

Nice city, with lots to see. Excellent tourist brochure and accompanying map. Easy to get to nearby Riviera places for the day. Some very good museums and great focaccia. Not visited often enough ... worth adding to the itinerary.

The 72-hour museum card was very useful, you could travel with it, and it is worth it. For example, in the district called Nervi there are 3 museums, in castles in a beautiful park, special trees, interesting flowers, the corso in front is 3 km long, and you can admire the sea waves breaking on the rocks

Pra' - Voltri is at short distance from the homonymous motorway exit. Pra’ is famous for its basil, the true and only original Genoese, which can be purchased directly from the producer on site. Pra' and Voltri are a good starting point for getting to know Genoa and for excursions to the entire Ligurian coast. In Voltri there are free and paid beaches, the sea is clean and various amenities (restaurants, museums, parks) are located in the area. In nearby Pegli, in addition to the beach, the Durazzo Pallavicini Park is worth a visit, with a 2.5 km path that crosses almost 9 hectares of land and takes you back in time, between neoclassical avenues and 19th century scenery along with the Ligurian Archaeology Museum. Boats depart from the Porto Antico for whale watching. And don't forget the real Genoese focaccia and farinata, just two of the many specialties of Ligurian cuisine.

Our stay in Genoa was absolutely perfect! The apartment was incredibly comfortable, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. The host was exceptionally attentive and made us feel right at home. Having private parking was a huge bonus, as it’s rare to find in Genoa. The internet was impressively fast, which is not always easy to come by in Italy – a big plus for remote work or streaming. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Truly a gem!

The room is warm and cozy, it has its own heater, but the marble floor is cold, as well as the common areas. Easy contactless check-in, you find the keys in the boxes by the door. The breakfast is very light, just croissant, tiny toasts with jam and coffee/juice, but this is quite common in Italy. For this price I would stay there again.
