Gubbio is a delightful medieval town. What a treat to stay in part of the Ducal palace right on the dramatic main piazza! The staff were excellent-so friendly and helpful. Our room had a fabulous view of the piazza and the Umbrian hills. The palace is very old so rooms are on various levels with various elevators plus some stairs in places. It makes for an adventure to find your room! The breakfast was good with eggs, yogurt, cheeses, cold meats, fruit and many sweets. There is a small bar both inside and outside on the piazza in nice weather. There are two lovely large gardens on different levels in the hotel. Close to lots of restaurants, shops etc.

Great location, super close to the old town (actual it's within the old town but still reachable by car). There is free parking close by if you're lucky and if you aren't then it's a 5-8 min walk. Not far. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was not bad at all, not rich but good enough (sweets, cereal, fruits, bread and boiled eggs, cheese and salami).

Lovely setting and staff. Although there was a private event with music during our stay, the staff made sure to advice and accommodate us beforehand. At the end of the day, we couldn't really hear anything from our room.
