Beautiful place, great for all ages. The children in the group loved it! Immaculately clean, pool very well kept. The lady who works there was absolutely wonderful and helped us a great deal when our transport let us down.

We stayed during the winter for three nights (so very off peak for this hotel) but found the staff warm and welcoming! The New Year’s dinner was simply amazing, Rachel and her team made this family holiday very special for us, although rooms are basic they are clean, a typical older style hotel but boasting a warm and excellent restaurant and great service. The heating worked well in the rooms, the views were great of the valley below and it was extremely good value for money.

The staff were very friendly, but unfortunately this was a very disappointing stay. Nothing about this hotel or the facilities is 5 star. Indoor/outdoor spa areas are filthy (and the same dirty is still there from a review one month ago). The upkeep of the hotel and facilities needs upgrades and they are lacking attention to detail. Definitely not what you would expect from a Marriott 5* hotel. I would not return, there are better value for money places which are far nicer. The staff in the restaurant are good but again the restaurant is not what you expect from a 5* hotel. It lacks ambiance and the food is good but not outstanding. (There is a fantastic restaurant a short walk from the hotel, Da Caino - I would highly recommend). Breakfast is good. The poolside cafe is not great. The spa treatments are good but again not as good as you would expect.

Monti is in the Tuscan hills, in the picturesque village of San Baronto, near the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. It features a peaceful garden with swimming pool and playground.
