The family room was just what we needed. We loved the old Italian feel and finish. Breakfast was nice although It would have been nice if it was included.
Ideally set in the Old Town district of Mantova, Hotel Antica Dimora is set 1.2 km from Palazzo Te, 1.3 km from Mantua Cathedral and 1.3 km from Ducal Palace.

Comfortable room, good location on the edge of the old town. We appreciated being able to lock our bikes in the secure basement carpark

The general decor of the hotel was very attractive. Ultra clean and comfortable. lovely bathroom well equipped with great facilities. Bed extremely comfortable. location perfect, right in the centre of the city. Having a private garage was a bonus as we were only there for a couple of days so we just parked up and didn't need to worry about the car.
Breakfast was fab with a great selection of both sweet and savoury. All in all a great experience

A jewel of an unspoiled historic city set between three surrounding lakes. Virgil’s birthplace well remembered, and the setting for Rigoletto, this place was made by successive ducal dynasties especially the great builder the Gonzagas. A lot in a little and all well cared for.

Mantova is a delightful city with many attractions. It is easily walkable & the residents are welcoming. Palazzo Te is a highlight & definitely worth a visit. We stayed 2 nights & wished we were there longer.

Was not expecting such an amazing beautiful and cultural city. The old City is beautiful with a range of churches, palazzos, squares and buildings. Palazzo Te and Palazzo Ducale both worth visits - allow about 2 hours for each. Mantova Card is good value for these two alone - but includes 18 different attractions and museums over a three day period, including some sites in nearby Sabbioneta. Great eateries and gelato around every corner.

Despite not traveling much in and around Italy, I fell in love with Mantova from day one. A small town drenched in history, with amazing scenery, fantastic people, and amazing food. That's Mantova in a nutshell

Mantova is very beautiful town.
Mantova is very beautiful town. In compare to commercial and crowded Verona and Venice, I found Mantova much better and pleasant, truly Italian. For some reason it is very underrated. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Lots to see. Those who love history and middle ages will appreciate every thing in Mantova.

I had the opportunity to visit the main attractions, but I'd like to do the boat trip.
In the weekend I was there, there was also a special initiative "Mantova fiorita" with some flowerists in downtown with Mantova flowers and plants which gave a colourful booster to the town!

Anyone thinking of a stay in Mantova should definitely consider staying in Scaravelli. The room we had was modern, extremely clean and the location was 10 stars with a charming balcony overlooking the centre of Mantua. Perfectly placed for a coffee and people watching.
We loved it and will definitely be returning again.
Olga the host couldn't have been more accommodating and went out of her way to make sure a Vegan breakfast was accommodated.
Highly recommended for location in a quaint Italian town with so much to offer.
Thanks 👍
Residenza Giulio Romano is a stunning place to stay. The palazzo has been carefully and beautifully renovated to include modern amenities but still showing the beauty of the past. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything needed for our stay including coffee machine and washing machine. Check in instructions were clear and Chiara was a delightful ,friendly ,helpful host.
It is a short walk from the Residenza to Manova's centro storico and a short taxi ride from the station.
Our suite was spacious with windows and balconies over one of the historical central squares of the old town. Great breakfast with large choice of pastries. The hotel is located in the very city center with limited traffic, and offers car passes for circulation and parking.
