Moncalieri is 15-20 minutes by train to Torino so a bit more reasonable than in the city. It is a small borgo and is very quiet in August when most Italians are on holidays. We used it as a base for doing day trips and visiting the sights in Torino. It has a beautiful couple of churches and a nice piazza with several good restaurants. It is also a good base for day trips to wine country and the mountains. We didn't have a car so used the train to get out of town and walked everywhere else. You can walk (a long walk) from Moncalieri to Torino through Parco Valentino. It is a lovely forested walk along the river Po into the city. Torino is a beautiful and vibrant city.Guest review byLaurieCanada

Bed was comfortable. Fridge included had two drinking-glasses pre-cooled - five-star service. Bathroom was fine - doors to the shower, however, a bit difficult to manoeuvre.
