A very nice house set in it's own gardens looking across a small valley to the town of Montecchio. The view from the terrace where you have breakfast is really lovely. The room was a good size, very clean. The location is excellent for visiting the surrounding area, and very quiet. The owner is extremely nice and made it a very pleasant stay. One special mention for the Trattoria Kilometro Nero in the town - excellent food and service. The town had a "bigne" festival at the time with street parties which made for special evenings

Il Casale Di Mario is a beautifully restored farmhouse surrounded by olive groves. Mario as well as mother Annunziata and sister Rafaela were very kind and welcoming. They were very patent with my very poor ability to speak Italian. Dinners prepared by Annunziata were excellent, like both my Italian grandmothers used to prepare. Felt like being at home. Due to some unforeseen circumstances having to do with my reason for being in Montecchio, had to stay two extra days. I have never been happier about being delayed!

Adaline and Roberto were nicest people you can ever meet. They couldn't do enough for us. Everything was charming, quiet with unbelievable vistas all around us. I highly recommend this place.
