Regina Palace is a beautiful, art nouveau hotel, it’s like stepping back in time with lovely antique furniture and grand chandeliers. Its position overlooking the lake is perfect. We walked to and from the hotel from the train station which is a straightforward route, 600 metres away. On early arrival (to store our luggage) we were extremely pleased and grateful for an early check in and also a room upgrade to an elegant lake view room with a balcony and view. Our room was enormous, extremely clean, with both a bath and shower. All the staff were extremely pleasant and very happy to assist. The breakfast is simply amazing and the location is superb, we sat looking out onto the lake which was perfect. The wellness area, grotto and pool was beautifully warm and so relaxing. We had a perfect stay and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending and returning for a longer stay.

Hotel Della Torre is a well-maintained, family-run hotel set just out of Stresa town centre and only 150 metres from Lake Maggiore. Enjoy pretty lake views from the gardens.

Breakfast was ok, room was fine. Location, 10 to 15 minutes walk from Stresa station was good, although the road had no pavement and it was dark.

The Astoria is set on Stresa's lake-side promenade facing the Borromean Islands. It has a nice garden, and offers rooms with Wi-Fi access, satellite TV and panoramic views.

Balcony terrace was lovely with a gorgeous view, bed was comfortable and shower strong. Good location and helpful staff.

Beautiful historic place, beautiful architecture, amazing ambiente Unfortunately the rooms on the last floor are not very tall, and don’t have balcony. Also very noisy as not well isolated - you can hear your neighbours.

We spent three nights in Hotel Boston. There was only one problem, but it was really bad. Second morning we noticed that there are BEDBUGS in the bed! This was of course a shock. In the morning at the reception they first denied, then they believed us but didn't want to compensate the price we had paid for the third night. After negotiations we got another room, which was far away from the former one in the new part of the hotel. After this case, we also understood why there was a strong smell of chlorite in the room when we first time came in. It made us believe that the staff knew already that there have been bedbugs in that room.
