Locanda di Ansedonia - Ristorante de Griglio is a true gem in Italy! My mom and I checked in and were immediately greeted by one of the most beautiful and kind-hearted women I've ever met. Her warmth and hospitality shone through, making us feel instantly at home. I was starving after a long journey, but they came to the rescue with the BEST sandwiches I’ve ever tasted in Italy—absolutely delicious!
Later, we dined at the restaurant, where we were treated to mouthwatering grilled meats that had my taste buds doing a joyful belly dance. The quality of the food here is simply unbeatable! The hospitality is top-notch, and the entire experience was unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again. Thank you to the amazing staff for such a memorable stay!
Offering a terrace and garden view, Casa ai Poggi dell'Argentario is situated in Orbetello, 16 km from Monte Argentario and 29 km from Maremma Regional Park.

Orbetello is a sweet town with wonderful shops and cafes and streets to explore. Parking was easy, as we visited in March (off season). We enjoyed walking along the waterfront and eating several meals at Tratorria Marcella e Pasquale in the main piazza. Gorgeous, welcoming hosts and delicious homemade pasta meals and local wine.

Was a delight Orbetello is in winter.
Was a delight Orbetello is in winter. Blue sky therapy for starters; no wind/rain for two solid weeks over Christmas with temps hitting 15C every day. The location, the peace and quiet, the natural beauty around this sleepy - and historic - little town. Everything about this place took me by surprise and charmed me the whole time I was there doing an Italian language course. It's a world away from the mainland hustle and bustle. Check out the sunrise/sunsets over the lagoons, the birdlife (flamingos!), the beaches and so much more. Take the local bus for a 10mn ride across the causeway over to Monte Argentario and explore Porto S. Stefano or Porto Ercole and beyond. A paradise for walkers, hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, lovers of nature and beauty. It's just stunning!

After the endless crowds and scarce beaches of Amalfi & Sorrento & Capri, Orbetello seemed like a hidden find! Lovely town. Beautiful accessible beaches nearby. Reasonable rates for hotels & food. We had a rental car & were just sort of cruising & came upon it. No one we know has heard of it. I'd definitely go back!

Plenty of lovely places to visit if you have transport.
Plenty of lovely places to visit if you have transport. The botanic dry gardens and Ortobello itself were our only trips as we had no transport. The brochures at La Posta give plenty of ideas of what to see. Eat at the Enoteca in Orbetello with local produce. A walk around the promenade is recommended.
Definitely eat at La Posta di Torrenova!!!

It is a quiet town super close to Monte Argentario.
It is a quiet town super close to Monte Argentario.
On the main road you can find some shops (clothes, hygiene products) and loads of pizzerias and bars.
Orbetello is really well kept Toscan town, which I am sure is buzzinh during high season. Now it was rather authentical with only locals.
There are buses going to Port Ercole and Port Santo Stefano, the ticket one way costs 2,60€.
Orbetello also boast over really green surroundings and has numerous parks.

We had a very large room, the biggest so far in Italy. It was very clean and the towels were extra thick which was a bonus. It was convenient to walk onto the old town for dinner. We were able to get a free park in the street just outside the hotel.
The location is excellent, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away. The hotel grounds are picturesque. One of the highlights was the wine bar in the courtyard, which provided a perfect spot to unwind in the early evenings.
Charming would be the most positive adjective that might be used to describe the hotel, and the location is a quaint town with some lovely beaches nearby and convenient for Rome.
Next level value for money accommodation. This hotel rises above with location and facilities.
On beachfront . Restaurant.
Outstanding value very pleased with our stay.
