Overlooking Orbetello Lagoon, Hotel Relais I Presidi has a peaceful garden and a snack bar. It offers classically furnished rooms and suites, all with free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV.
Just 656 feet from its private beach, Villa Smeraldo is in the Orbetello Lagoon protected area. Halfway between Orbetello and Porto Santo Stefano, it features air-conditioned rooms with LCD TVs.

The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous (fresh orange juice, lovely hams and cheeses, fresh bread, croissants, baked goods, a wide variety of teas and excellent coffee machine for espresso, cappucino, etc.) Our hosts were on hand to assist with the coffee machine, local travel, restaurant and exploring suggestions. Both were very friendly and helpful - could not have asked for better hosts :)
Located on a unique strip of land connecting Albinia to Monte Argentario, Giannella Camping is 1-minute walk from the beach. It offers BBQ facilities and self-catering bungalows with furnished patios....

B&B Corso Italia 58, in Orbetello is located on the Corso in the city center, in a ZTL
(zona traffico limitato). The town has some very narrow streets. One can park briefly along the lungomare, to bring luggage, on foot to the B&B. We were provided with a parking permit for the lungomare from the B&B.
The B&B itself has stairs only, no lift, to B&B’s entrance on the second floor,
with interior stairs to a spacious room with plenty of storage. One radiant heater kept the room warm.
Paola our hostess, runs the B&B single handed. She is knowledgable and resourceful.
She was able to contact a frequently closed ceramics shop and have the proprietors open up for us and we happily purchased some lovely pieces.
Our stay was in January, where we found the town without crowds and left to the local population who are very fun, friendly and welcoming. Orbetello is very useful-full of independent shops-including a movie theater, 5 min. from our door. The lungomare is nicely kept and essentials can be found at the Conad store, or the covered market that has oil & wine on tap, fresh fruit, spices, salumi,
vegetables and more.
For dining out, we highly recommend Pizzaria Tre Stelle, a friendly and reasonable priced establishment.
For breakfast, the B&B featured a “sweet” (pastries) breakfast, good coffee, fruit flavored yogurt, but no savory foods.
Our room had a comfortable bed, but could use a brighter ceiling light, more hooks in the bathroom, higher bedside tables, an extra luggage rack and art on the walls.

Orbetello is a sweet town with wonderful shops and cafes and streets to explore. Parking was easy, as we visited in March (off season). We enjoyed walking along the waterfront and eating several meals at Tratorria Marcella e Pasquale in the main piazza. Gorgeous, welcoming hosts and delicious homemade pasta meals and local wine.

Was a delight Orbetello is in winter.
Was a delight Orbetello is in winter. Blue sky therapy for starters; no wind/rain for two solid weeks over Christmas with temps hitting 15C every day. The location, the peace and quiet, the natural beauty around this sleepy - and historic - little town. Everything about this place took me by surprise and charmed me the whole time I was there doing an Italian language course. It's a world away from the mainland hustle and bustle. Check out the sunrise/sunsets over the lagoons, the birdlife (flamingos!), the beaches and so much more. Take the local bus for a 10mn ride across the causeway over to Monte Argentario and explore Porto S. Stefano or Porto Ercole and beyond. A paradise for walkers, hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, lovers of nature and beauty. It's just stunning!

After the endless crowds and scarce beaches of Amalfi & Sorrento & Capri, Orbetello seemed like a hidden find! Lovely town. Beautiful accessible beaches nearby. Reasonable rates for hotels & food. We had a rental car & were just sort of cruising & came upon it. No one we know has heard of it. I'd definitely go back!

Plenty of lovely places to visit if you have transport.
Plenty of lovely places to visit if you have transport. The botanic dry gardens and Ortobello itself were our only trips as we had no transport. The brochures at La Posta give plenty of ideas of what to see. Eat at the Enoteca in Orbetello with local produce. A walk around the promenade is recommended.
Definitely eat at La Posta di Torrenova!!!

It is a quiet town super close to Monte Argentario.
It is a quiet town super close to Monte Argentario.
On the main road you can find some shops (clothes, hygiene products) and loads of pizzerias and bars.
Orbetello is really well kept Toscan town, which I am sure is buzzinh during high season. Now it was rather authentical with only locals.
There are buses going to Port Ercole and Port Santo Stefano, the ticket one way costs 2,60€.
Orbetello also boast over really green surroundings and has numerous parks.

We had a very large room, the biggest so far in Italy. It was very clean and the towels were extra thick which was a bonus. It was convenient to walk onto the old town for dinner. We were able to get a free park in the street just outside the hotel.
The location is excellent, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away. The hotel grounds are picturesque. One of the highlights was the wine bar in the courtyard, which provided a perfect spot to unwind in the early evenings.
Charming would be the most positive adjective that might be used to describe the hotel, and the location is a quaint town with some lovely beaches nearby and convenient for Rome.
Next level value for money accommodation. This hotel rises above with location and facilities.
On beachfront . Restaurant.
Outstanding value very pleased with our stay.
