This accommodation is suitable only for those travelers who wish to experience authentic Italian life in incredibly beautiful Sicilian valley!
On Saturday night, we were welcomed by the warm hostess Patricia, who took all five of us (2 children, 3 adults) to our dream apartments surrounded by vineyards. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The building is very ancient, so the air conditioning was not even needed during our stay, although there were fans in the rooms. The next morning, opening the balcony doors revealed an extremely beautiful view of the valley. We went for a short walk where we encountered many vineyards, loquat trees, lemon trees, and even pomegranate and lemon trees. As we descended into the valley, we noticed a lot of oak trees.
Then we went for breakfast, prepared by the host Diego, specifically for us: eggs with bacon (or vegetarian without bacon), fruits, and delicious homemade fruit juice, along with two types of meat, cheese, and freshly prepared salads of our choice, which were my favorites. Afterward, we went to eat grapes that grew right at our apartment door. Both hosts made us feel very welcome, and we would love to return here again someday!
A big thank you to the lovely hosts for preserving Sicilian values and for their desire to share this experience with guests!
We loved our stay here. The town is surrounded by amazing scenery and areas which are so different from coastal Sicily, the hilltop medieval towns could be in Tuscany and Umbria. It's an area with a rich history but there is also the opportunity to go hiking in the Madonia national park where we saw deer, wild boar and lots of birds. The woodland that covers many of the hillsides has an enormous variety of tree species too.
There are also lots of small restaurants and we ate and drank well at lower than normal prices.
An excellent choice all round!

It’s a very quiet but beautiful area which has a few most beautiful historic villages of Sicily like Gangi, Petralia Soprana and Polizzi Generosa. You may find hard to move around in this area as I didn’t see much public transport so you will need to have your own transport to move around easily plus you can go to those areas where there’s no access through public transport. People are so friendly and welcoming. I met a local family in Bompietro and we became a very good friends. So yeah it was worth visiting this area of Sicily. Highly recommended.

Giovanna was an amazing host. The room was beautiful and well presented and we had everything we needed. The location was stunning - Petralia Soprana is a beautiful and peaceful town and we loved our stay. The best part of our stay at Cas'Antica Soprana was the breakfast. Giovnna laid out an absolutely incredible spread in the mornings including the most delicious freshly baked cakes and pastries. We can't thank her enough!
I loved that it was in the middle of this very beautiful village Petralia Soprana. It was one of the most wonderful villages I visit.
Gasparo was really nice to communicate with and he recommended a very good restaurant run by a friendly family. The food was delicious at Trattoria Salvatore.
Petralia Soprana is a beautiful town with fantastic views and three outstanding baroque churches. We thought it would be more crowded. It was surprisingly peaceful.
