You can’t imagine my reaction when I opened the door—an enormous floor-to-ceiling window, a rush of fresh sea breeze, warm sunlight, and a breath-taking ocean view that instantly made me feel like I was on the perfect vacation. The room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with a charming seaside touch. And the view? Absolutely unbeatable. You don’t even have to step outside to be by the sea—you can watch stunning sunrises and sunsets right from the hotel. I can only imagine how incredible it must be in the summer—soaking up the sun on the balcony during the day and taking a leisurely stroll along the shore at night would make it even more magical. A great bonus is that the room comes with a mini fridge, which is perfect for keeping drinks nice and cold—especially in the summer!
I have to say, my entire stay was nothing short of wonderful and worry-free. The owner was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. Due to my own oversight, I accidentally left some belongings at the hotel, but they were extremely helpful in assisting me to retrieve it.
If you ever get the chance to stay at this hotel, don’t hesitate—it will not disappoint you!

The staff/owners were just exceptional. Really great people, caring and warm. The breakfast was good and all in all a very good value for a triple room with breakfast.

The view from this room was why we booked it, straight out to sea. We had a fabulous meal in the owner's restaurant downstairs and delicious coffee from the machine outside our room. The breakfast arrangement is unusual but a good idea & super flexible

Wonderful host and a lovely property to stay at. Superb breakfast cooked by a charming, modest and helpful host.
Great collection of photos around the property and good lounge space to relax (choice of rooms).
A great experience and lovely to meet some of the family and feel very welcome.

Savona is a port and has an attractive harbour and old town. The ceramics museum here is one of the best. There are lots of good places to eat, and it is also not far to go along the coast to the Ligurian Riviera, with all that this has to offer. It is very easy to get around Savona on foot.

Historically important city, with extensive archaeological treasures and musea. Good shopping and ample choice of restaurants of different level in the old inner city.
The 3* property, advertised as "Savona Casa Vacanze vicino Mare" located in an old apartment, furnished 1960 style, located in a grim neighbourhood smelled like it had been smoked. It had no elevator, or video surveillance and was located in a poor neighbourhood, featuring low grade/fastfood places. No nearby parking facilities. No reception but a mobile phone appointment to hand over the keys by a person speaking minimal English, no Italian (Ukrainian) demanding a Euro 100,= caution, as previous guests had caused serious damage to the interior. We refused to take this dismal property, lost our prepaid fee and booked into Porto Antico Best Western hotel instead. Shame on Booking.com to list this dump !

I wouldn't specifically choose to go to Savona, but this was necessary for 1 night as we needed to embark a cruise ship. The port area had many options for restaurants. Believe it or not, the sidewalk, souvenier vendors close to the ships, had cheaper prices than the shops further away from the ship. We walked around, found a nice restaurant and managed to find vibrant nightlife.

Savona is not the most attractive location on the Ligurian coast. It has some historical interest in the house of Columbus etc, we chose it as was convenient for visiting family in Piemonte whilst spending some time on the beach. The hotel Mare is absolutely fantastic this is the main reason we stayed in Savona.

Very good help at the reception even for our very late arrival. Great recommendations for restaurants to eat near the hotel. Got the bus to the center of town and walked around, although it was raining there is still plenty to visit and lots of little cafes.
The hotel is a little dated but still comfortable.

The hotel has nice facilities (cabins to change, beach bar, sun beds) available on the beach. It offers a good breakfast. The sushi restaurant is exceptional. Very nice pool.
The kindness of the owner, cleanness of the apartment, the location , breakfast and incredible taste of the design!
