Plus side: GPS refused to take me there, so they sent out a car to lead me. You get to the lift thru a dark garage, then I wasn't taken to my room but told that I should walk down two floors to reception to check in because the lift doesn't stop on that floor. Then the key to my room didn't work (new locks, the excuse) so I was moved to a different room. No heat or AC, freezing in the morning, broken toilet seat, half the bulbs in the chandelier burned out. Why Booking.com keeps them listed is beyond me. I would have complained about some of this, but the only person who spoke some English disappeared after check-in.
Il Porticciolo offers accommodations in Scilla. Every room comes with a TV. All rooms have a private bathroom with a bath or shower and bidet, with free toiletries provided.

The family that hosted us was amazing, I have a disabled kid, so they cooked for him few times the dinner, this you can expect from your family, but not from hosting people. I believe this was the most welcome and caring host ever. Thank you very much!
B&B La Veduta offers accommodations in Scilla, a 5-minute walk from Lido Chianalea Scilla and 700 yards from Spiaggia Di Scilla. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free Wifi.

Booking.com limits the highest review rating to a 10. However, exceptional quality must be recognized. We wish we could rate our stay at La Veduta to a 2 X 10!
Antonio and his mother Nella are the most caring and thoughtful hosts we have ever met. Their sense of humor, their positive energy and their attention to our needs was heart-warming. Every moment with them was a pleasure.
Our balcony had a fantastic view of the sea which included the Castello Ruffo, the village Chianalea coastline and even a peek of Sicily. We lost track of time while listening to the lapping sound of the sea when sitting on the balcony.
Our room was bright and tasteful. The bathroom was spacious and immaculate. Our rooms were cleaned daily with care.
The breakfast spread offered us a variety of locally sourced and fresh items, like prosciutto, cheeses, eggs, fruits, pastries, bread and yogurt. The coffee was expertly made by Antonio; we enjoyed more than a single cup each breakfast.
Antonio helped us carry our luggage and gave us a ride to the train station.
We highly recommend La Veduta. This is where we are planning to stay when we visit Scilla in the future.
Lovely town. Many of the beach/Chianalea tourist-targeted businesses close in the autumn but there are still plenty of places to eat and the weather is perfect (25-27C and sunny when we were there mid-October) for exploring the region. There's a train station to take you south to Reggio Calabria or north to the pretty town of Tropea (recommended!).

The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay...
The views across Scilla as well as the sea views and bay views are all very beautiful. Scilla is on a hillside so expect lots of paths and steps as you explore Scilla. The lift near Bar Roxy on the beach takes you right up to the piazza and a cappuccino, or a pizza from Pizza Scilla. There are places to eat along the beach and in Scilla.
Do try the local swordfish panini! Delicious.

Lovely personal BnB right on the water edge.
Lovely personal BnB right on the water edge. Large balcony over the sea with a wonderful view of the sea and Scilla. The main beach is wonderful for swimming in the clear turquoise water. It is a small relaxed town.

Close proximity to Train Station, walking distance to the Beach, Local Cafes and Restaurants along the waterfront and across from the main beach.
Walking distance to the Old town Centre either take a lift up or walk up the stairs for some paronamic views you won't be disappointed.
It is only a small coastal town with a few restaurants and Cafes to choose from

The view was spectacular.
The view was spectacular.
There was direct access to the rocks at the waterfront but no way to get in or out of the water safely. The property is advertised as The entire holiday home’ but this is false. The property has at least three apartments. We had to walk past our neighbour’s glass patio doors to access our apartment and the narrow balcony was shared.

I loved Scilla as the pace was so relaxed and a chilled vibe… I really liked where I stayed to watch the sunsets and the locals chatting in the square
Chianalea which is in walking distance is a must visit for beautiful streets and alleyways and gorgeous restaurants…
In my personal opinion no need for a car as youcan walk everywhere and there’s a train station with very regular services

Il Casato Deluxe Rooms and Restaurants is an exceptional bed and breakfast in the charming fishing village of Scilla. The hotel offers beautifully modern rooms with excellent amenities and is just a 12-minute walk to the beach. The picturesque village surroundings add to its charm, making it an authentic and delightful place to stay. The friendly staff, cleanliness, and the delicious breakfast make the experience even more enjoyable. What more can I say?
Clean, great location, amazing breakfast, easy parking, helpful and lovely host. We made a mistake when booking and booked for 2 people instead of 4, and the host couldnt be more helpful in rectifying it quickly. Scilla is an amazing place and we can’t wait to come back and stay at BB Arete again.
Scilla is a beautiful place and we have enjoyed a comfortable and pleasant stay at Scilla Hotel.
Personnel was very helpful. I would choose again this hotel if I come back
