While Selva absolutely lived up to everything we had heard about how spectacular the Dolomites are, we unfortunately had no fresh snow. We'd made a very long trip from Australia to ski and snowboard, so it was disappointing. That said, we had decent cover and loved the long runs and apres venues. Completing the Sellaronda is one of the best experiences I've ever had on skis.

The room and breakfast area were very clean.
The room and breakfast area were very clean. The room has blackout blinds that enabled us to sleep like babies. There was a heater to warm towels or dry clothes in the toilet. Great location and very walkable. There is a fabulous market around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay!

The family and friendly atmosphere was perfect.
The family and friendly atmosphere was perfect. The staff very much went out of their way to make sure we were happy and had everything we need. Breakfast was incredible with many many options and healthy choices. Americans always like more coffee faster, but that would be my only recommendation. The sauna and steam room were excellent very clean and safe. Truly the owners were invested in making sure our stay was enjoyable. The definitely hit the mark.

Selva di Val Gardena is really a sports town -- not much to do unless you hike, bike or ski. But if you love sports, its the place to be. A never ending number of trails and adventures await you.
I would add that if you are freaked out by driving over high mountain passes with lots of hairpin turns, this might not be the destination for you.

I've stayed at 5-star hotels that weren't as clean and neat as Garni Sunela's entire venue. We told the staff not to worry about making the room perfect every day, but they insisted it was house policy.
There's a beautiful short hike behind the house, perfect for evening walks. The town is quite small, so everything is within walking distance (restaurants, supermarket, city center).
Private underground and outdoor parking is available, with a bus station right in front.
Would definitely come back here for a ski trip.
Really helpful staff, helped organise a special cake for my daughter’s birthday at the hotel restaurant. The rooms were spacious, clean and elegant with easy access to ski storage and a short walk to the lifts in the morning. Very comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Would have liked a microwave in the kitchenette but otherwise couldn’t fault anything. Would love to come back again!
Overall nice hotel. Very nice warm water in the pool (which is mostly outdoor, connected to a tiny indoor pool, good sauna and steam room, and relax zones. spectacular view from the pool. Very good dinners. Attentive hotel drivers who take skiiers to slopes. It takes only a few minutes by hotel transfers to reach slopes in the morning.
Fabulous hotel loved everything, location in a lovely town, superb pool area, relaxing room, steam room and outside seating on the balcony. Beautifly decorated hotel with laundry service, ski and bike rental and bar/ restaurant area. Breakfast was tasty too
Everything.. beautiful hotel, perfect location just a little on the outskirts of Selva but only a few minutes walk from the town! Staff was super nice and helpful, and great breakfast! Will definitely come again and can only recommend!
