The breakfast, food was wonderful, just how I like to eat! The staff was great and very attentive to anything we asked for. It would be nice to have a wonderful view from our room but nothing can be done about that. The rooftop deck made up for the lack of view from the room. Wonderful view from the rooftop

Very nice, reasonably priced, away from the bustle of Sorrento but only a ten minute bus or twenty minute walk from the town. Nice rustic area with great beaches. Nice pool, great views. Very accomodating and helpful staff. Had more a four star feel than the three it is given.

Great to explore on foot. Piazza Tasso and Via San Cesareo are the obvious starting points but there is a lot more to discover. We only got down to the ferry port once and would have liked to visit the Marina Grande as well. Excellent choice of food in restaurants for GF diets.

We really loved Sorrento.
We really loved Sorrento. It is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area and would recommend above Amalfi or Positano if you want to take in as much of the peninsula as possible. Sorrento has good public transport links (unless you like sitting in queues of traffic and negotiating countless hairpin and blind bends, don't hire a car) to Naples, Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi coast.
Watch the time of year you go - we went in mid March, and not everything was open, though there was lots of activity as places started to get ready for Easter. However, we were able to do pretty much everything we wanted to - visit Pompeii, climb Vesuvius, take a tour of Capri and the Blue Grotto (though the day we were there - 20th March - was the first day that it was open), and visited Amalfi, Ravello (really worth visiting) and Positano.
Be prepared for a lot of walking on steep streets and alleyways - nearly all the towns are built into cliff sides and seafronts are often 200m lower than the main roads through them.
The Spiaggia La Marinella is worth checking out - is closer to San Agnello than Sorrento, but is a lovely spot.

Sorrento is a beautiful city in southern Italy. We were there in late February which is the off season and we found restaurants and shops open although many were still closed. Toured many places and found the smaller crowds to be very pleasant.

We loved strolling along the streets and alleys.
We loved strolling along the streets and alleys. The Piazza Tasso was about a 20 minute walk from the apartment, and it's a great place to people watch and have a coffee and breakfast. It is a lovely town with orange and lemon trees everywhere. The streets are kept clean. We went to Capri on our own and it was very affordable - $15 or so for the ferry. We also went to Pompeii and Vesuvius with a tour company and that was a great trip. Overall we found Sorrento to be tourist friendly but not overrun. The weather in March was very pleasant, and we would for sure visit again.

Because we were there in late February, there were very few tourists and we had the town to ourselves. The weather was perfect and we took day trips to the Amalifi coast and Pompeii using a very cheap daily pass. The prices off season were very affordable. Sorrento is a great town to visit the rest of the area without having to fight the big crowds. We are thinking of returning to explore the region with more time.

This hotel was just great, didn’t expect such high level of service. Location is in the heart of the city centre. Room is spacious and includes everything you may need. It also has a kitchen and a washing machine. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options, one of the best we had in Italy. Also the hotel greeted as with the coupons for ice cream, aperol, restaurant discounts and they even put cookies and Prosecco to our room. Price greatly matches value
Everything!
Most comfortable bed in Italy.
Simone was the most amazing host. From the very warm welcome to helping us by carrying all our bags downstairs when we left, nothing was too much trouble. His recommendations for dinner, drinks at sunset and boat tours were all perfect. The location is excellent and Sorrento is the best destination on Amalfi Coast. We loved the modern and spacious bathrooms too.
Location wise, it was perfect. 5 minute walk to the centre, 10 minutes to the beach, everything you need is within walking distance.
Communication from the host was top tier, could not have been more accomodating!
The room itself was perfect, so comfortable, spacious, clean, modern and the bathroom was the best we’ve had in Italy.
Cant say enough good things about this place!
Extremely well located property, right between train station and shopping strip! This hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in during my visit in Italy! Staff are helpful and courteous. Breakfast on the rooftop was amazing with good range of selection. Love the design and cleanliness of the room as well! I felt very safe when staying here.
