Friendliness of staff who make you feel special. Clean & very comfortable. Restaurant fabulous, some of the best food I've had in Italy. Extensive wine list & great selection of superb desserts

Decent location, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and a decent “business dinner” for €20!!

    Tortona is sited on the right bank of the Scrivia between the plain of Marengo and the foothills of the Ligurian Apennines. The area is known for the variety and of its products and for the intensive wine production, including Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato and Timorasso, the autochthonous wine of the region which traces its origin back to the 14th century. Truffles are another important fruit of this land and the Colli Tortonesi is the only place in Piedmont to have three varieties of truffle: white truffle, black truffle and scorzone. Main sights: Roman remains, traditionally identified as the Mausoleum of the Roman Emperor Maiorianus; Palazzo Guidobono (15th century); the cathedral (mid-16th century); the Bishops' Palace (1584); abbey of Santa Maria di Rivalta, a Romanesque structure (built around 1150).

    We had a transfer from Monaco to Lake Garda and one spare day. That's how we ended up in Tortona. Probably not very well known to tourists. The apartments were exactly what we wanted. We liked the local people. If you're ever in Tortona and looking for reasonable prices, I recommend it. The city center is close.

    The house was amazing, feeling like in a museum. The people were also very nice, made you feel at ease. I was well rested after spending 2 nights here. Bobby also recommended a very good restaurant that I would love to go back when I’m in Tortona again! (Ristorante Pace)
