The hotel is a bit hidden and off the beaten path. We came via coach bus and it dropped us off at the Fuji Q bus stop. We didn’t realise that we had to climb a flight of stairs to get over the highway and then down a questionable flight of stairs to get to the hotel. There is an elevator at the Fuji Q bus stop but the shop with access to the elevator doesn’t open until 11am. If you have luggage, beware! The hotel itself was not as good as it looked online. The bedroom is one room and the bathroom is laughably tiny. Amenities are scarce too. The cleaning is not the greatest either, found a few hairs in the bathroom that were none of ours, and the back headboards of the beds were dusty. Beds are basic spring beds and pillows are basic foam, not the most comfortable. The free breakfast is a bit average, the scrambled egg is powdered and the mini sausages aren’t kept in water so they were tough and dry.

The staff were friendly, and the room was spacious. You can enjoy views of Mount Fuji from the rooftop. Breakfast is available from a food truck parked in front of the house in the morning. This hotel was really close to the station, very convenient.

The view from our room was amazing as we could see Mount Fuji 🗻 😁 We also enjoyed the breakfast. It wasn't crowded as we got there at 7am. We chose the hotel as we wanted to visit Fuji-Q highland, which was just 1 stop away on the train and the train station was only around 5 mins walk. The area the hotel was in was a lot quieter than we expected with few restaurants etc. The room facilities were basic and the decoration a bit dated but the bed was comfortable. The shower was a bit awkward as it soaked the bathroom. Overall we liked our one night stay and the staff were very kind and attentive. We would have enjoyed some English tea with sugar and creamer and also it would have been nice to access Netflix from the TV.

My stay at Villas Fuji Sengen was everything I could have hoped for, with serene surroundings and top-notch service that made us feel completely at home. The property is beautifully designed, blending modern comforts with traditional aesthetics, making every corner a delightful experience.
However, I must mention that my visit coincided with an unexpected continuation of winter conditions. I had hoped to witness the majestic Mount Fuji against a backdrop of spring, but instead, the area was still enveloped in a thick blanket of snow. The roofs and trees were covered, and the roads near the villa were quite snowy, which obscured the view of the mountain. This was a bit of a surprise and slightly disappointing as seeing Mount Fuji was a significant reason for my visit.
Despite this natural setback, the villa itself provided a wonderfully cozy refuge from the cold. The warmth of the staff and the comfort of the villa made it easy to enjoy the beauty of the snowy landscape in its own right. It turned into a different kind of getaway than planned—one more focused on relaxation and enjoying the unexpected winter wonderland.
If you’re planning a visit, I’d highly recommend checking the seasonal weather conditions as Mount Fuji can be shy and hide behind the weather. But rest assured, regardless of the season, Villas Fuji Sengen offers a superb escape from the ordinary, and I left fully satisfied with my stay.

Very convenient drive to five lakes and major Mt Fuji sights. We were able to drive to Kawaguchiko both during the day to take the cable car for panoramic views and at night to see the fireworks. Many restaurants in the region for Japanese and other cuisines, no short of choices. Beautiful views of Mt Fuji from various areas of the five lakes region. Chureito Pagoda is a must visit despite the long climb up. Gotemba premium outlet is popular and not far away for branded shopping and dining.

There was a supermarket, Lawsons and a 100yen shop nearby. Also a very nice family restaurant with robot machines to bring your food. And a karaoke place. Just a couple of minutes' walk to FujiQ. We were met in the lobby for a trip to Aokigihara Jukai and the wind cave. Very convenient.

We trained in, stayed 1 night then got on some bikes and rode around the base of Mt Fuji, stopped midway and returned to stay an extra night, could have easily spent a few more days here exploring the area, it was absolutely delightful!

The natural surroundings were beautiful, some areas were way overcrowded (especially the narrower streets near Kawaguchiko. Sengen Shrine is a small oasis in the city (amazing old growth forest in the city. Yoshida trail that we did part of was near the road up majority of the hike, so not as immersive as I would’ve thought
Central Fujiyoshida feels more touristy than I would've thought

For Fujiyoshida you can plan to stay 2 nights, it will be enough to enjoy different spots to see Mount Fuji and if you have plans to go to Fuji Q HIGHLAND you can also do it. Keep in mind that transportation in this town is not until very late so it can be very useful to rent a bicycle, motorcycle or car for better transportation.

The hotel is located in Akasaka(赤坂) where the famous Fuji amusement park is located in, You can see directly the park's facility from the window, I would say the location is good,
The facilities are clean as well, I didn't buy breakfast tickets, so I have no idea to say something about the food served by hotel, but I would say you will not disappointed for the food of any Japanese restaurant, even you just rendom pick a place nearby railway station.
The hotel has a hostel vibe, with a shared kitchen and rooftop terrace. The room was spacious and had direct views of Mt Fuji. While the hotel was not in the main tourist city; it had very quick access to the area with public transport. The area also had nice restaurants and shopping nearby.
Great location, easy to visit Chureito Pagoda and surrounding areas by shuttle bus! The view of Mt. Fuji from the hotel and our room window was incredible and I loved how close we were to Fuji-Q Highland (walking distance!). The room was quite spacious as well!
Nice to get out of a hotel and into our own space for the night. Comfy beds, great amount of space in the house too. Very clean and modern. Also a stunning view of Fuji from the balcony.
