Very comfortable stay at Comfort Hotel Ise. Just a short walk away from the train station, Ise Jingu outer shrine (Geku), with good surrounding food options. Staff were helpful and professional, had a good command of English. Decent room and bathroom size. Wonderful character. Traditional rooms with modern comforts, and the massive life-sized alien statues at the entrance were an amusing contrast to the rest of the building. Easy walk from the train station, near a couple of really cute shops and eateries, not to mention the sea and Futami shrine. The public bath was small but I went in the early morning and had a very nice soak. The obaachan who runs this place was very charming.
