The breakfast is fabulous, and all food comes from local sources. I love the way of living. The host will pick you up from the JR station and send you to the ski resort in the morning around 9:00 AM and pick you up at 16:00 or 16:30. The bath room is also pretty nice and comfortable. the room and loadge is pretty authentic.

Best pension we stayed in on a three week trip. Western beds, full onsen. You must have the breakfast it was excellent.

    Great little town.

    Great little town. I didn't see any other foreign tourists while I was there and everyone was very friendly, especially on the hiking trails. Some good outdoor activities available but need a car to get around as they are rather far from the city center.

    The roads to this mountain is breath taking.

    The roads to this mountain is breath taking. I would love to take my bicycle and ride there. The walk from the carpark at the tope of the mountain is very easy. It takes about 20-30 minutes to the peak. There are few walking trails at the top of the mountain. The car park cost 500yen.
