It's a very nice self-serve type hotel, easy to manage, with comfy beds and good amenities. The only bad thing was the men's shared toilet being on the ground floor.

This is a lovely hotel right on the waterfront. It’s styled beautifully and our room had a zen like calm to it. The bed was a mattress on the floor, so may be an issue for those with mobility problems, and the staircase up to the room was steep, which again could be difficult. The staff were very helpful and friendly and provided lots of helpful information about where to store our bikes, places with great views, a hot bath and restaurants. There is a cafe/restaurant attached that also has a nice vibe. Food in the evening is cooked over a wood fire and was good. I’d stay again.

The service and food were excellent. The room was lovely, bed very comfortable except the pillows which were hard. Onsen and garden were lovely. We visited the temple, art gallery and museum and some restaurants in town.

Atsuko is a superb host. From dinner booking, comfortable beds, a good breakfast, a bonus trip to the local shrine, and a trip to Lawsons... a perfect stay. The guest house is close to the bike route and a good midpoint on the ride. Highly recommended

Our host was very friendly and helpful. We arrived after 30km bicycling in pouring rain and she helped us wash and dry our clothes as well as made us feel home and welcomed. Both dinner and breakfast was included in the price and was very well prepared and tasty. Thanks for a lovely stay

The grandma who came to greet me was very sweet, explaining the logistics clearly. The futon in my room was extremely comfortable, and my dinner and breakfast set meals there were incredible. The evening staff Yuuki came and had a chat with me and a fellow guest and I was glad to be able to practise my subpar Japanese 😄 I also had a very fragrant cup of hand drip coffee made by the morning staff Miwa, whom I later learnt works at Overview coffee in Ikuchijima!
